i was on about the pxssy riot lyrics/the fact she allowed/agreed to them. but beyond that and beyond feminism, the whole album has so many contradictions lyrically. i just... idk. sonically yay, lyrically yyyyyyy.

and that's exactly why you find it acceptable, when it's not. power hungry women are just as bad as power hungry men. i'm not threatened by it at all - that's your assumption. and that's not the lyric i find cringe/anti-feminist either. i highly disagree with the sentiment, based on the fact it completely contradicts all the things Marina posts about daily in regards to equality and fairness/the stuff that she's written on this album and previous. it gives her zero credibility and substance - something she used to once have.

yes, she is. like i said in a previous post, and from the lyrics she obviously allowed pxssy riot to have in purge, it's faux-feminism. it's about having power over a man, not actual equality. feminism isn't about females having power over men, it's fxcking equality. the fact she'll singing about men having power and how it's problematic and along with capitalism being an issue, yet she'll put that shitty remix out and sing about how fxcking rich she is on venus just shows how much crap she's full of lately. even more to the point how on the title track she sings about world issues/defending rights and then completely fxcking contradicts herself. she's looking a fool.

the title track, purge, man's world all have that fake woke attitude she tries to give and it's cringe. purge is probably my least favorite song of hers lyrically, especially the remix, as it's basically that faux-feminism of the woman that enjoy the idea of having power over men than actual equality - i guess lyrically venus fly trap shows exactly that. she's basically acting like the power hungry men she allegedly despises.

literally speak for yourself - it’s one of my most wanted things. the thing is, there’s nothing wrong with releasing anything for the fans. it doesn’t have to have promo, or music videos, she can just release it and streaming will do the rest. not every release an artist does has to be serious and have money thrown into it, doing something for fun can be just exactly that sometimes.

yeah of course. it’s not a bad album at all, she doesn’t really have a bad album. I think L+F was weakest in terms of concept, because it was just an album full of songs with the odd standout track - it was a little flat? but even then it’s not a bad album at all as it still has some of her best tracks (and her worst), which is how I feel about TFJ as well. EH and especially FROOT were stronger albums with FROOT being her best, as I think it’s the one that’ll stand the rest of time the best - EH is already starting to sound pretty dated as it is.
