Ever since hearing that SoundHound snippet... I want Summer Bummer. I'll mute Playboi Carti out of it somehow, but I wanna hear more of her delivery on it.

Artists still do live albums. Lykke Li has a few live EPs, I think, for example. And artists like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix put out live albums all the time (posthumously in the case of Jimi). Granted, they're nowhere near the same tier as Lana since for them, they could release an album of farts and it would it would print out money for record labels, but still. I think we might see more live releases from Lana. I know that they record soundboards of her performances. They wouldn't do that if they didn't have a reason. I don't know her contract, but typically artists are either signed to 3 album contracts or 5 album contracts. This is her 5th album-length release (including Paradise, since it is technically album length on its own), so it might be up for her unless she renewed her contract.

I really hope she took Playboi Carti off the final, because the verse sounds soooo good.

It wasn't an unconfirmed date, though. It was a date from a label belonging to Universal Music Group. And her manager referred to it as "pushed back". That's enough proof to show that it was, at some point, meant to come out in May. And we were having meltdowns even before that date came and passed. Lana doesn't give a single fuck about our meltdowns beyond having her shitty managers threaten her stans, the only group of people who consistently care about her music. Until the album comes out on July 21st, we can't say with certainty that it will come out on July 21st.

Do you really think it's coming out that day? I made a bet that it would come out that day, and even I don't think it'll come out on the 21st anymore.

Even if it comes up as Summer Bummer, that doesn't mean it'll be on the album. Shazam recognizes unreleased songs sometimes (like, it recognized Yes To Heaven when I tried it)

Delusions of grandeur is you thinking your comment matters to me. I'm having less and less confidence that I'll win the bet I made with @@terusama. I'm hoping it comes out in July so I win, but..I dunno. The radio silence is a bad sign. I think the social anxiety stuff is just her fandom making excuses for her, though. I can't imagine why someone who has that and knows they have that would decide to be a pop star. I don't pay attention to her sales, but maybe she sells enough that it doesn't matter whether she does nothing or not.

tbh what Lana wants doesn't matter to me, since she also doesn't want to promote the album or communicate anything about the album (tracklist, singles, etc.) to us.

I don't expect much from Summer Bummer. I hope to be surprised though. Lana goes best with New York hip-hop, not trap.

I love Florida Kilos and her coke/crack slinging lyrics. I think glorifying heroin, especially on an album where she's trying to be politically aware, would be a bad look for her. (I wouldn't mind it but...it would make her look bad.) At least with her singing about crack, the crack epidemic is over.

I mean, I'm not sure you can really sing about heroin in a way that would fit a happy album without glorifying it, which would be a very bad look.

I don't think it's reaching. It's completely possible that Get Free is a reworked Children of the Bad Revolution. She redid Yayo for Paradise, and she reworked Methamphetamines into Old Money.
