  1. I love how the interviewer actually tried to dig a little deeper with the political questions. Her answers were still vague (like the health care question) but it's still one of the most outspoken interviews she has given to this date. Like what she said about sex scandals in the Church: "It’s hard to see other people’s bad choices ruin the mysticism that can come from inside the walls of a church. It’s unfortunate. I don’t really understand why certain groups of people are drawn to that profession. I was talking to my mom about that." I think it explains a lot about her faith somehow. Idk about her attitude though, it's not like it's the first time she come across as a little defensive, even playing the victim quite a bit. I thought the same thing about the Fashion Magazine and as many here has already pointed out, it probably has a lot to do with her love of being loved + the extraordinary backlash she recieved back in the days. I think her whole "misunderstood artist, u guyz" vibe is quite dramatic and tacky, but then again those are the qualities that make me love her so much, so I'm good
  2. There is no such thing as too many pictures of Lana's legs!
  3. I just got an idea..Maybe she sings Valentino, which is another high fashion brand? That would tie nicely in with the other brands. Not that Valentino stars delight makes any more sense...
  4. Kissing me hard, seeing valentina stars delight At least that's what I hear.
  5. This is great. Someday when she has been famous for years, someone needs to open a Lana-themed bar. Just putting it out there for alle the entrepeneurs.
  6. I have one made up of songs with a laid-back/twangy guitar/60's organ/roadtrip/westcoast/moonlight/smooky room feel to them. Music for Motels: The Man I Love Backfire Boarding School Children Of The Bad Revolution Velvet Crowbar You & Me Motel 6 My Best Days Serial Killer Burning Desire Driving In Cars Never Let Me Go I Don't Wanna Go

    Ghetto Baby

I'm pretty sure she sings "My local rockstar, the Willie B crew". Willie B = slang for Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Cheryl Cole however sings "really big crew".
  8. I like this because it's not that glam, just really pretty She looked so perfect in these pictures, like a living breathing doll likeomgIcan'teven...
  9. My Best Days could use some more love. I just recently stumbled apon it even though it leaked a long time ago, so it has been a well kept secret. Then again she has written a gazilion songs, no one can keep up and show love to them all.
  10. Except a few sketchy demos I really think all of her songs are brilliant, if nothing else then because of the lyrics. They always paint vivid pictures and stirs up all kinds of emotions and half-forgotten memories + every line is basically a oneliner that could be quoted into oblivion. Well, favourites: BTD/Paradise Video Games Like most people I guess, this was my first Lana song . At work, driving round late at night, suddenly this song came on, and I parked the car just so I could listen. I didn't even know if I liked it, but I just knew that it was something very special. When I got home and found the video I freaked out, not because of her lips (well maybe a little) but because she was so young. It made no sense in my head, her voice sounded a million years old. Her whole glamour-persona actually put me off at first but I couldn't ignore that haunting song. Still think it's one of, if not the most beautiful song she has ever made. Off To The Races The song that finally converted me to a full on Lana-fan. So cool, innovative, badass, shiny, crazy. There was some unspecified feeling in the song I recognized but couldn't recall from where, until I realized she was working a Lolita vibe that I remembered from the '97 adaption. Summertime Sadness It was literally the soundtrack of my summer and holds some good memories. This Is What Makes Us Girls Again the music is just so fresh (to death and sick as ca-cancer.) Love the beat, love the instrumentation, love the melody. I can't think of one other artist to compare to this genrewise. And the lyrics are so prettyyy. Ride was originally my favourite of Paradise, American quickly grew on me and seeing Gods & Monsters as well as Body Electric live in concert was a gamechanger. Funny how some of the best live songs aren't necessarily the studio recordings you like the best. Lizzy Grant aka LDR Pawn Shop Blues Love the melody and how young and clear her voice sounds. For some reason this song reminds me of growing up in a quiet small town. Kill Kill So groovy, sexy and weird. Lana in a nutshell. Yayo This song didn't really click for me until I heard it on a rainy day and suddenly it all made sense. The new Paradise version can however go sit in a corner and think about all the things it did wrong. Unreleased/Misc Young & Beautiful People seem to be quite divided about this one, but I got chills first time I heard in the Gatsby trailer. Ridin feat. A$AP Rocky I'm so sad that Asap had a fallout with the producers, so we'll never get to hear the final version. I Don't Wanna Go In my humble opinion one of the only songs that can compare to Video Games in terms of sheer beauty. Never Let Me Go It already feels like a classic My Best Days I thought I had heard all her leaks but then discovered this precious gem. Could work well the two previous ones on an EP of some sort. Honourable mention goes to: Boarding School, Ghetto Baby, Hundred Dollar Bill, You Can Be The Boss, Ooh Baby, Trash and You & Me. Ok so this got really longwinded. Sorry...
  11. This very pretty song still bugs me. This is my best guess: Methamphetamine, pink flamingo Blue ‘50s queen, Blue Oyster Cloth * (I heard cloth, so I googled oyster cloth, which seem to be something relating to cars)
  12. Motels: Trash Magic/Miss America: Boy you wanna come to my motel, hunny? Gods & Monsters: Motel speed sprees and I'm singing Motel 6 Mermaid Motel 1949: It's a flower motel nation Push Me Down: Motel swimming pool, breaking in, we can do Elvis: Late in motel lounges singin Come When You Call Me America: Will you pick me up from my motel? Kinda Outta Luck: Motel singer or the silver pole She sure does seem to love her motels. Diamonds: I Don't Wanna Go: They be like diamonds and pearls National Anthem: Um, do you think you'll buy me lots of diamonds? Young & Beautiful: Diamonds, brilliant and Bel Air Now Fake Diamond Cole: Harvey's in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy Last Girl On Earth: My cigarettes or diamonds rings Body Electric: Diamonds are my bestest friends Diet Mt Dew (demo): Gimme them, gimme them dope and diamonds Kinda Outta Luck: Diamonds on my wrist, whiskey on my tongue Driving In Cars WIth Boys: Got my cash and my Louis Vuitton, diamonds and guns (And yes I used the search function and yes I am indeed procrastinating.)
