I think it'd be cool if Marina went as far as possible down the retro scifi/outer-space vibe of ADIAML (song) and FROOT (song) for a whole album, that's my favorite little corner of her discography Marina & the Aliens
-
Oh god, this version is awful Charli saved it

spread a nasty rumor about her & ruin her [school] life as revenge

I don't know what you mean turn the volume up in your Prius, windows down and just vibe BUMP BUMP

if Marina's eating the world, does that mean we're getting vored

The poem makes sense in full but why did she have to type it like that in the Instagram caption, it looked like she was on crack
-
lets have a comeback of Marina's internalized misogyny era, aka 'Marina and the Diamonds'

My rearrangement from the thread for that:

Genius instated a rule that says you're not supposed to add lyrics to unreleased songs that weren't performed/snippeted by the artist, so anyone can report leak transcriptions and have them taken down (incl. stans)

and now all I can hear is one one one one; and now all I can hear is one one one one one one one one one

She only released Glam!, because she feels that it should've been on CLXI from the start and it's the only track she gave a spot within the original tracklist I don't know why she didn't just reinsert it into the album on digital/streaming like she did with Never Enough back in the day, but whatever

Was just listening back to the 2018 Captain Cuts version of Karma and yeah Jack really bulldozed that for what That demo is amazing, has hit potential, we did not need a mean version of Baby

Rest in power, Larina shippers

Clearly the visuals are the whole point - a literal visual counterpart to the so-called 'lavender haze' that she feels when she's in love. I feel like this is the last song that would've needed a super complex story-oriented video, and the concept she used makes sense for it.

It was cute I'm 99% sure the only reason she held onto it for this long was because she wanted to see how long she could keep Anti-Hero on top. Now it's slipping a little and we might be a step closer to a continuation of Taylor's Version records. I guess it's just one big metaphor for how she feels when she's with her Lover™, just like the song's concept. Very simple and sweet idea; I don't think a skit or anything like that had a place here.

I mean yeah; Purge the Poison is on-the-nose to a detriment. It's something that only could've been written in 2020 while we were at the intersection of #FreeBritney/post-#MeToo/COVID-19/California wildfires, and at some point it's going to lose all sense. Meanwhile a song like Savages is also shamelessly political, but it's also something that would have made sense in the 70s (besides the phone lyric ig), made sense when it came out, and will make sense decades from now.

I kept telling myself I was gonna listen to the leak after it happened, and then I procrastinated for so long that my first listen will actually be upon release
