It was such an iconic mess when Amazon literally leaked the Cry Baby album cover and tracklist and then like a day later Melanie announces it with a decision so last second that it was probably literally right before the announcement, that "Half Hearted" was replaced with "Play Date" That indecisiveness is probably why we never got the deluxe CD now that I think about it

Bluffington is the Amazon-confirmed album title, its the name of a school from a 90s cartoon, Melanie did many interviews claiming each of her future albums would be about an individual place in Cry Baby's town, Drama Club is easily a school-related name, the 2 photoshoot pics feature Cry Baby in a classroom and in a nurses office, and she posted this as a hint over 3 years ago: I think its safe to say at this point that it's about Cry Baby's school.

List of the recent leaks: 99c Store Drama Club Half Hearted (Voice Memo) Haunted Schizo Strawberry Fields Forever (Cover) Unhappy Meal I personally assume all of it's Cry Baby outtakes (and Haunted and Half Hearted are confirmed Cry Baby outtakes) except for Drama Club, considering the second album's supposed to be about 1 specific location that's very obviously a school. I also theorize Schizo was recorded for the Dollhouse EP cause it has a very similar sound to Dead to Me, but idk. All the songs presumably came from Hauntedbymel, and presumably "Until Sunrise" from him will also be leaking soon. "Where Do Babies Come From" is also slowly spreading but I don't believe that came from him.

Scream Queens: Sorority Row was the official name and trademark for Season 1, even though they rarely used it. Scream Queens: Summer Camp was trademarked before they started working on Season 2 so

Band Aid, Bombs on Monday Morning, Half Hearted (replaced with Play Date), Haunted (replaced with Soap), Jump Rope (replaced with Tag You're It), Schizo, Where Do Babies Come From? and You Love I (Dollhouse EP outtake) were all considered for Cry Baby iirc. I imagine Gingerbread Man was also probably an outtake, but that's just a guess. I'M GUESSING Unhappy Meal was also probably for Cry Baby since the title doesnt have anything to do with a school setting but is still child-related. It's very obvious that MM2 is called Bluffington, it will be about Cry Baby's school, there will be a school-themed song title pattern, Drama Club will be on it, etc etc. I can't imagine there's new info left to spill on that, lol

There's Season 1, Sorority Row (which I consider to be AHS Season 4.5) and then Season 2, which never got a name after they cancelled the Summer Camp season and is generally regarded as not being as good as Sorority Row Im here for Chanel appearing on AHS, it makes sense to me

I do like the album (its the most easily listenable body of work by her, don't kill me but I really have to be in a certain mood for N1A or P2), I think Body of My Own, Gold Coins (shouldve been a single) and Famous are some of her most enjoyable songs, etc etc. I just think SuperLove not reaching the tracklist is a little messy, considering its easily one of her very best songs. Justice for pop excellence

Here's a video of Melanie performing Cry Baby before the Dollhouse EP came out and likely before the album was called Cry Baby, as an example. You can tell it sounds just a little bit different, even though the lyrics didn't really change. I wouldnt expect Haunted or Bombs on Monday for it considering they were definitely explicitly created for Cry Baby, and also I kinda don't want more songs of that style lmao. If she took a Dollhouse-esque album route I'd expect more songs like You Love I, Gold Diggin Love, Night Mime, probably rougher versions of the older Cry Baby songs, etc, and ofc the visual aesthetic would have been more memorable (Dollhouse EP as an era had her most solid pleasing aesthetics, idc what anyone has to say, it outsold Cry Baby). So yeah Carousel remains the best song in her discography so I'd like more songs like that
