I see that, despite the cape god text being the same in the Rings a Bell artwork, it now says FIG 4, while Fresh Laundry said FIG 2. Are these tracklist placements?
-
And they were both underwhelming, imagine that

PrimaDonna Girl by the band Marina & The Diamond

I'm tired of WDBCF and don't think it was that good (from snippets) for the years of hype on it but like, can someone leak it
-
Yeah L+F's really the outlier
-
Imagine making this reply to a clear semi-joke to look woke and get likes Anyways, I like having unleaked regardless of what it is (and it's way more than just Hardway final and You Belong With Me) and I assume many others would be in the same place if they got like a Marina outtake or smth & I don't see how it matters since I haven't done anything besides point out that 2 files of a song exist + make note of the fact that some of the snippets randomly linked earlier in this thread were reuploads from my Soundcloud. It ain't that deep sis
-
I would but having unleaked material gives me an indescribable superiority complex rush
-
I don't know exactly who has it besides me & my friend but theres 2 files; the one in that snippet + a Purge-esque piano recording preceding it (not the rehearsal)
-
Oh wow, my Soundcloud snippets still having impact; Love that
-
I didnt even know she did a Prime video; I guess I missed a bunch when I zoned out for [most of] the Super Sunset era
-
I guess Tongue Tied Sanctuary That's So Us Science And seeing as how 1 and 2 turned out, I'm not that bothered
-
No, she did a Twitter poll to determine whether TSU or TMTD would make it; fans said TSU; she later went on to say that listening to her stans was a shit decision
-
Strawberry Shortcake is lowkey my least favorite song on the record sksks; the lyrics are awk, the beat is meh, etc. But I agree about the Cry Baby thing. I think her storyline ended on the first album (with her self-acceptance arc), and I think Melanie believed that as well, at least until she changed it to be about the discovery of her black eye powers for the Mad Hatter video and scrapped the original K-12 concept of the character only being a narrator / POV. And I'm not sure I'm that hyped about seeing more of this Empath shit and Lilith guardian in the next film/album tbh!

This gives me strange ALX/AXA vibes; really shocked. Glad she's not letting Twitter twinks dictate her career anymore like with TSU replacing TMTD on CLXII, the drag queen obsession on SS, etc.

What a weird thing of her to say Her music's maturity has been on a decline since Dollhouse EP
-
Yeah, I think she just cusses as filler when she can't think of a better line at this point. Hoping that it is or was just a phase (bit of a long one tho since it mainly spans Class Fight circa end of 2015, to Piggyback end of 2017) since this wasn't really an issue on Cry Baby (sans the title track and Training Wheels). The spam of "fucking" and "shit" in Piggyback and then the "fucking damn Barbie" line that I'll never get over in Lunchbox Friends are really indicative of the problem.
-
I thought about it some more and I think it's so weird that Wheels On The Bus, Class Fight, The Principal, Show & Tell and Nurse's Office all contextually look to happen in 1 day in the film That's a bit much!
-
Lily making PC music after the panned Sheezus and uneventful No Shame would be worse homophobia
-
The visuals and audio for this new track are so out of character for her; What the fuck
-
Agree. "Show & Tell" is maybe the only song on the record that I would argue is near-perfect and could work on Cry Baby if you found a slot for it. I think the album's struggles are mainly just due in part to how extremely conceptual it is. With Cry Baby, you have to remember that she recorded a decent chunk of the songs (i.e. "Pity Party" and "Cake") without an explicit storyline in mind. And even then, Cry Baby's storyline is relatively loose with a ton of vague characters, brief plots and locations, whereas the concept for K-12 is the first thing Melanie created on the album, and it focuses on events and ideas around 1 isolated building with a consistent cast of characters over a (before the film was written) 13-year span with only 1 song per year. I'd say the first 3 tracks on K-12 are easily the worst (Wheels On The Bus and Class Fight are nothing but exposition), and other good songs are almost completely ruined by a failure to find a good lyric (the "fucking damn Barbie" line in Lunchbox Friends) or more unnecessary exposition (the whole second verse in Nurse's Office). The album also suffers from that, while it's a sequel to Cry Baby, the whole metaphor pattern is largely omitted (sans the 3-4 songs about the music industry) and with Cry Baby you can apply most, if not all, of the songs to real life (whereas K-12's relatability only goes in the "oh that happened to me in third grade" way or isnt relatable at all because it's political, specific to her experiences as a famous musician, or just generally can't be related to by anybody like in the case of Wheels On The Bus).

High School Sweethearts is a highlight smh, the only times Melanie really enters cringe territory are on The Principal and the "fucking damn Barbie" line in Lunchbox Friends
-
Regardless, its kinda ridiculous that nobody in this fanbase can keep their hands on original files for pre-Drama Club leaks and they choose to circulate converted files Not everybody likes conversions, and not everybody uses iTunes!

MP3s are iTunes compatible Y'all converting things before uploading them need to STOP
