It's still February or have I fallen into a come and it's already, like June or something? She def won't release a single during or before the tour, it would be totally dumb. And the album cover usually doesn't get released or a track list before the 1st single.

We all thought that UV would be a reference to the movie and it wasn't. Many of us thought, it might have a bigger, louder and dramatic sound than BTD and it didn't. You just don't know what her idea behind this record is.

There were a few significant differences between then and now. Back then, the label (at least Polydor) made a concentrated push and invested in her. She was selling lots in Europe, not so much in the US at first, but since there was new music coming up with leaks on a weekly basis and covered in music media, she got coverage there while being non present on radio. That rose the interest of people to check her out more and more and the big budget videos contributed to the success, too and were the icing on the cake. She had two big hits in Europe in 2011 and 2012 (Video Games and Summertime Sadness) and a bonafide hitsingle with Born To Die. For this era, there were no hitsingles, same as with Paradise The label loses interest in you and the buzz gets killed.

I don't think that having a single out during her US tour would be a good idea. If she really wants to do some radio or TV promo this time around, she won't have time for it. Especially not going to Europe. I hope this era is well excecuted. I am not here for another mess like the UV one. Great album which she ditched even before the release.
