Actually, I think it is good that these collabs with Wilson and Moroder didn't happen. After Wait For life, Big Eyes and I can Fly being boring new songs, I don't think I could have handled more disappointing and pointless releases.

Well, I guess after UV it has become pretty clear: Lana Del Rey is not here to please her whining fans who cry out for more Summertime Sadness and Gangsta Nancy Sinatra. She will turn 30 this year. She has grown out of that. I still can not believe how much I have fallen in love with UV over the last few months, which I didn't believe I would in the beginning. While she doesn't have to please the BTD fans who like the polished production and the pop appeal, I would love her to really enjoy her next era and yes, promote it. Why do I want that is simple: while people always bitch and moan about that popculture doesn't have that much convincing material, she sounds like nobody else. Yes, nobody else sounds like Lana Del Rey. She can make every sound and style her own, very few people can achieve that and more people need to see that. It also ensures that I will have more Lana records in the future where she is collaborating with interesting folks. It would be refreshing to see her being proud of her music in the public eye. She has every right to.

Can't imagine that Lana fans want her to work with Moroder. Hasn't nobody heard his recent song with Kylie? It's simply horrible.

I realised yesterday that Emile and Mark produced Unorthodox Jukebox, yikes. Anyways, no clue what to expect. It frustrates me to see that BTD is outcharting UV in the US so dramatically despite being out for three years. UV deserved way better, but she has herself to blame, not the actual result. At least the US seems to be here for Lana's music right now, but I am also interested to see if she wants to rebuild her image in Europe after all the cancelled shows, lack of appeareances, being banned from big radio stations, feuding with one of UK's biggest newspapers etc. I just want to see her enjoying herself and outselling Gaga, that's all. I also wouldn't mind 2 or 3 radio friendly singles. I need some bops. It wouldn't hurt her.

As a writer, I can agree. As a producer, no. Just like with Heath, I miss some edge to it. That's why she will always have to reach out for somebody else, I guess. Say about Haynie and his one trick loon whatever you want, but at least his production has some edge. Auerbach knows how to create an atmosphere, while Nowels is just bland, imo.

I am not a fan of his Enya-like soundscapes he makes. Bel Air however will always remain a favourite. But see, I never warmed up to Paradise and Nowels was responsible for that one the most. Maybe I should have better said Nowels than Heath, cause he is the one who is giving me more Enya vibes than Heath.

I just don't want Dan Heath on the album as a co-writer or producer, but he will be on there.
