  1. @@Foolish So Legit - What happened to my scene, what happened to punk rock, rock?
  2. Being 'punk rock' are her words, not mine. And look, you're doing the exact same thing - speculating about her personality.
  3. Well, I definitely can if I want to - so many people all over the world do it every single day about pretty much everything without actually knowing what they're talking about - which, of course, doesn't mean I'd be right. Regardless, that's not what I'm trying to do here. Quite a few people here, apparently. Hence Lanalysis & 'Lana thoughts', for instance. What I don't understand is why people who don't care about it care that we care. The main purpose of a forum is 'discussion', obviously. If I wanted to just 'enjoy the output', I wouldn't even need to be here. Different people like to discuss different things, and fortunately for all of us there's so many different topics to choose from. What I don't get is the necessity to go 'but who even cares?!' whenever something doesn't interest you; I mean, I don't give a shit about many things in lots of topics but I don't go there periodically and ask 'who cares though?'.
  4. @@Foolish In some people those contradictions are more apparent than in others, and Lana is definitely one of those people.to me. I believe half of what she says / sings about, but completely mistrust the other half. And what can I say, I totally like analysing all that shit, it's like a hobby.
  5. Oh, absolutely. I just think it definitely does to her (or is, at least, part of the image she wants to transmit to others). Hence all the contradictions.
  6. Because she idealizes it and seems to equate it with being more of a 'legitimate' artist. How many times has she mentioned in interviews that she's disappointed with the people she's met in the industry, that no one else seems to be 'in it' only for the music, etc.?
  7. This makes some sense but I feel inclined to agree with @@lola and call it her 'Cobain act' tbh. I think she loves and wants fame / recognition / adulation / etc. but at the same time feels she can't stay 'so legit' if she gives in to all that & doesn't simply create art for art's sake. 'Cause, you know, admitting that you want to be popular & worry about what other people think of you is basically the most un-'punk rock' thing you can do.
  8. Father John Misty - Fun Times in Babylon
  9. Kinda OT, but it's interesting that he hated/mocked those comparisons but basically acknowledged them at the same time by choosing 'simon richie' as his alias, of all names...
  10. That wasn't sarcastic, that was quite literal, actually. And I'm not surprised, there's clearly lots of things you don't know.
  11. Poor Lana, her fans are so mean to her, how dare they have opinions?! I'll be happy to hold her while she cries.

    Ariana Grande

@ Exactly the same. I can't even explain it tbh, I simply cannot stand her.
  13. @@Quentin Thank you for summoning me. I love The Weeknd, I was completely blown away by House of Balloons when it came out! I loved all 3 mixtapes / Trilogy & my fave songs atm are High For This, House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls (especially the second part, like OMG!?), The Birds Part 1, XO / The Host & Kiss Land. The songs I like the least are those featuring Drake probably because I fucking hate Drake. I also agree with Quentin, a huge part of his music's appeal is all the detail it has and most of it is lost during live performances, so they're usually kinda boring & lackluster when compared to the albums...
  14. Pretty sure she says 'You have to be so passionate about it that you just can't live without it', I don't think she mentioned 'loving someone'. So I assumed the guy asked her for some sort of advice.
  15. @ I agree it's a good video, though imo maybe not the best one there. What I meant is that everyone rides his dick like there's no tomorrow & he's the next Michael Jackson but, frankly, he's not that good. This whole media / music industry created 'legendary status' around him is annoying af (like, a 15 minute performance, really?). Same re: Beyoncé.
  16. And what's worse, she says: 'I think in a month'...
  17. @@getdrunk Pretty sure she mumbles 'I dunno'. And aww @ Barrie waiting for her to get in the car & closing the door for her, what a gent.
  18. In all fairness, I should have mentioned 'Gaga bashing' too. That's not what I'm aiming for either. And good question... Probably because they'll publish anything & everything that's even remotely controversial, I guess.
  19. -- What exactly happened with this guy & Gaga though? Are his complaints legitimate, is he just blaming someone else for his own mistakes, or a mix of both? From an unbiased standpoint please, if it's just Gaga fangirl/boy-ing don't even bother tbh.
