Stay Away - Charli XCX

This doesn't have anything to do with the daily topic but it's 4:23AM (when I begin typing) and I'm listening to Charli, feeling all emotional, etc. and I just wanna write about how & why I love her.
 
Honestly, the music she makes is what I've always loved and felt most connected to than any other type of music. Even before I came across her music, I'd always had ideas in my mind of the "perfect artist" that had a discography that completely & perfectly matched the type of music I'd only dreamt of. That sounds a bit cheesy but I really mean it. The whole dark electronic 80s pop ethereal soundscape has always appealed to me the most, but I'd never found an artist that had more than a few songs like that.
 
When I first listened to Stay Away (probably my favorite Charli song) it seemed so familiar to me because it had aspects I'd picked out from other songs that I loved - but they were all wonderfully put together into this one song. Not to say the song takes ideas from others, not that at all, just that the elements that are blended together in that song - of electronic, pop, and just the vibes it gives off to me - made me nostalgic of all the other types of music I loved, and all the quirks within them that made them so great to me.
 
She's like this perfect artist to me because I feel like the way she visually describes her music is how I've always seen songs of similar styles that I love. I feel like her style of creativity matches with mine and that's such an amazing thing to find in an artist. I don't know if that makes sense to you guys but that's the best way I can think to describe it. Just that her style of writing and the sound of the music itself resonates with me on such a deep & empathetic level.

I could go so much more into detail about it all but I don't know how to properly word my feelings.

I need some kind of single/album title info right now.  

I mean I get the aversion to it leaking but sometimes you guys (generalization) get way too upset about it. 
Either way I love you all no matter what okay. T-T 90% of my time on LB is spent here so I don't want anyone to get too upset with each other.

Okay so I had this dream last night I walked into my new history class and all my friends are in there so I start talking to them! Then I look at the other side of the room and Charli and Marina are in my class I can tell Charli sees me keep looking in her direction. She comes to a seat closer at one point and I turn around to whisper, " I LOVE YOU CHARLI." So yeah that was a nice dream... Just thought I'd share

Just bought White Coats and Warrior! Imreally love those 2, and I may get into more of her music later

Okay so I had this dream last night I walked into my new history class and all my friends are in there so I start talking to them! Then I look at the other side of the room and Charli and Marina are in my class I can tell Charli sees me keep looking in her direction. She comes to a seat closer at one point and I turn around to whisper, " I LOVE YOU CHARLI." So yeah that was a nice dream... Just thought I'd share

Oh and also would it be possible for us to discuss Heartbreak High without fighting about our opinion on it being out there please? I mean bottom line, most if us have heard it now Let's talk tbh.
 
I honestly think its one of my favorite Charli songs already. Definitley my favorite unreleased, and better than everything on both mixtapes. Only a few songs on TR beat it for me. It's soooo good.

Leak is to make public a song, and i havent uploaded it to sc, yt, tumblr or anything, so i didnt leaked it. I just shared it w/ people that wont leak it.

this record is getting closer every day to the point where i have to let it go. i can hardly remember what it feels like to get home and into bed and not have a brain humming with new music from that day. and it’ll be odd not sitting on the train as it screams round corners, smiling so hard i think i’m gonna scream cause i’ve just written something great an hour before. i’m really fucking proud of it as a cohesive body of work, and i hope it’s everything you thought it would be. #yaymusiciloveu
