Yeah I get that too, but I feel like until it's all out people will continue to hoard and trade. On another note, I really wish Allie would support her older material rather than trying to hide it, because it is so so great. It would be much less stressful for her I would imagine if she would just embrace her past.

I really want a CXII announcement ugh. Hopefully it's coming really soon. OHDH is like SOTY material, so I need her to not leave me hanging like this
 
In the meantime though, I'm enjoying the rest of her music SO MUCH. Every era of music is so good. Wish we had more studio versions of ALX songs, especially "Homebound". That's definitely one of my favorite songs by her. I don't think I've ever obsessed over an artists unreleased/unleaked material like I have Allie's. She just doesn't have a bad song, so I guess I just have high expectations for everything.

"Walking Sideways" is so beautiful. So is "My Leo". Her ballads are just excellent. Even though we've had it for a while, "Elevator" still blows me away. It's a perfect opener. "Gorilla Sounds" is probably the worst, which is nice since we've had the worst song the longest so I've basically come to like it with so much time. "Something Isn't Right" <<<<<<<<<<< "Damaged Nail", but it's still okay. The mixing is just a bit wonky. Overall I can't stop listening to the album and it's just so so so so great.

Nope. She really can't. At least from what I've heard so far. Everything is so so so good. I really wish Allie would embrace her older material, it's all just great.

I sent him a PM but he hasn't responded I hate to even ask since he's already given us so much really!
 
Also the last few days I've just had her discog on repeat and I really live for some of the weird obscure stuff too! "One Day And One Night" and "Coastal Lines" are both really great to me, and not just because Allie is featured either. "Damaged Nail" is such a rush too omg, I love screaming along.

I kind of want to start an Instagram to showcase my Lana collection, but I feel like my pictures would be so boring.
I have no idea how some people find inspiration to make such beautiful arrangements of their collections. I'd just be like, here's a picture of my vinyl on the floor.
I basically have a complete collection (and then some). For vinyl I just don't have the standard BTD with blue text, standard UV, and red Honeymoon (I have two standard black - one still sealed and one signed at Rough Trade, and the UO red, so standard cover w/ red vinyl seems pointless to buy). I also don't have the limited reimagined art print covers, which I have no intention of ever buying (lol $2k, no thanks), or Don't Call Me Angel (maybe I'll get this if I'm bored)

And yes this means I gave in and finally bought the Love/LFL heart-shaped vinyl. I paid a lot but I don't regret it. I can finally sleep in peace.

New PFP after 4 years

Last night, Lana Del Rey stopped to meet Elle while shopping at Dillard’s in Huntsville, Alabama.
(yes, im aware there’s already a thread for this outing, but let me have my moment. & yes, I added a ton of the built-in IG filters to our selfie bc I had literally been sleeping in the car shortly before this and hadn’t touched up my makeup because I did NOT expect this to happen.)

Ugh seeing that 88 is incredible. I honestly wonder if we will see a score that high again in the next 10 years of her career.

Finally got my copies in. Yes I was dumb enough to buy all 3. The pictures don't do them justice tho. The prints are very nice! They seem like actual paintings to me, not prints. The only signed one is the Jenna Gribbon BTD. Haven't seen any other pics of these anywhere yet (there's a discogs listing for the Paradise one tho). Am I the only one that got sucked into buying these? 
 

I didn't like the paradise one at first but now it's my favourite because of the level of detail. When you flip it and overlay it over the original it matches up quite well.


Lana fits perfectly inside the beach and the sun's reflection on the water becomes the hair covering the right of her neck. There's the water and the trees referencing the original ofc and the shape of the forest at the bottom becomes the neckline of her swimsuit.

About the artworks, must say I love the three of them. Paradise seems so saturated and intrincate aesthetically, so is the album itself. NFR seems quite contemplative. Looks like crashing waves at first hour in the morning for me, just after dawn. A sense of desolation that I associate the most with Hope, which I found to be one of the absolute highlights of the record. About the Born to Die one, I truly like it as well. I take it as someone consuming early Lana's visuals as a way of finding refuge in a notion of dark, disturbing beauty. Almost as if Lana had been some kind of enfant terrible which actually died after releasing her debut major label album and became an almost mystic legend, an undoubted cultural icon in a way similar to her beloved Kurt Cobain, p.e.
 
Couldnt care less about the price as the idea of getting them just doesnt dare to come through my mind but, ye, wish that those of you who'll buy them will enjoy them deeply <3
