That almost never works lol. If you try to purchase it at the register, the employee tells you they can't sell it before street date. If the system registers sales before the release, the label has the authority to not distribute to them anymore That's happened to me before

I would say 9/17 in the US once a country has already received it on the proper release date...but someone will get a CD early in a non-American region (probably Japan or Australia if it's a WW release) and we'll have it like 4 days early
