I absolutely dislike rap & latin music but Someone Else's Baby has me shaking in anticipation. It's just so good

Someone Else's Baby might just be in her top 5 best songs

Galilee, Israel @ Meteor Festival - Sep 7, 2018 (CANCELLED)

Where? I thought she only performed in Turkey and a festival in Lebanon. I think that hardly counts as "touring the middle east". -

Jack Antonoff, who is a Jew, probably convinced her to perform there. I'm okay with it if she premieres new music! -
Yes, it will be Coachella part 2
-
I'm calling it now that these Jack songs will sound like God Save Our Young Blood.

I wonder what the 3-4 other songs are that Dan produced for UV but didn't make the album
-
I agree. it's a great album
-
a mix between Fine China and Happy please

I'd love to see Marina work with Rick Nowels again. The bops they made for Electra Heart were honestly all that. I really wouldn't be shocked if their collab is a Nowels co-write.

Honeymoon - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
sweetie replied to annedauphine's topic in Post-Release Threads
This is the beautiful thing about Honeymoon. The more you listen, the more of these stunning details you find all across the album. People love to write off its production as stale and minimal, but that's not true -- you just need to listen to the album at a high volume with good headphones. -
We'd probably look bad, but even then Lana would look somewhat worse. Let's just say it -- she looks like she smells of rotten egg, and her back is giving Hunchback of Notre Dame a quick run for his money. She's spending too much time hunched over her broken (and hacked) macbook, munching on Doritos (it shows!) and googling obituaries from dead & crusty 1960s celebs (as she tries to astral project into their coffins). She clearly don't love haself, but that's fine and dandy, it's what makes her so relatable to the LGBTs. Her looks may be serving fermented sewer water instead of tea, but we still STAN this gal because of her talent, vision and artistry. Our kween!

I agree with the "widow" part. Maybe "Sunset Widow"?
-
She needs to make a sad Honeymoon please. Like in the style of the Black Beauty demo

Just disable signatures in your settings. I had to do that years ago, the site is so much better without all these tacky oversized sigs!

Prague, Czech Republic @ Aerodrome Festival - June 29th 2018
sweetie replied to Amadeus's topic in 2018 LA to the Moon Tour
I'm glad to hear her vocals are as angelic as ever. We love and stan her. Also good to see her packing on the pounds. People usually eat more when they're sad or emotionally distressed - which means LDR6 could be quite emotionally heavy, depressive and dark. Remember, she also inflated a bit before dropping Honeymoon. Are we about to get her second magnum opus? I can't wait -
At least she got the sales in the bag. LFL was Lana's spin on generic popsh*t, and well...

Don't be too hard on Dua. She's breaking through as a popgirl in an era where rap, RnB & urban genres are overwhelmingly dominant. She may as well be blazing the trail for the next generation of pop girls in the 2020s, but it's still too soon to tell. And although it seems like she probably became a success overnight, our girl Dua has been working incredibly hard at it for many years. Plus, she's an outspoken supporter of gay rights and has a very sweet & relatable persona. It seems you're being a little bitter if you're hating on her just because you perceive her as competition for Lana.

We have to remember not to be delusional. Lana has not been relevant in mainstream terms for nearly 4-5 years. And that's okay. She doesn't need to be relevant for us to appreciate her magnificent discography and unmatched talent. Just.... let's not act like she's still killing it, when her career has been on a very obvious decline for a hot minute now.

Lust For Life - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

I don't think we would have heard BAR if it did not get leaked anyway. It would probably have ended up in the same boat as Yosemite and the other scrapped songs.
