  1. Polish sock lady, you’ll always be famous
  2. Sorry to burst your bubble, guys, but since LFL, Billboard changed their rules when it comes to physical copies and the week they count as pure sales. LFL era, any preorder of the album, vinyl, CD was counting for week one of release, regardless when they were being shipped. Nowadays, vinyls and CDs count as sales the week they are shipped. My point is that unless all the vinyl are already pressed and are sleeping in a warehouse, I don’t see Polydor / Interscope wanting a very short preorder era if they want a good number 1 week numbers. And almost no artist can have a number one album based on streams alone, except if you’re Taylor or the Weeknd. so, the good days of HM and LFL, when the preorder of an album was very close to the release date, are almost (sadly) gone (Still to this day, HM is my fave pre-release era) nowadays, the only thing that is a “10 day preorder” type of thing is a pre-save for a new single (which I personally think is way too long lol)
  3. Ok this is getting even more exciting although LB wouldn’t be the best judge for a very commercially successful album (« Zodiac when? » « We want Dark City » )
  4. Well, Lana isn’t the sole decider of album releases and it all comes down to what the label wants her to do: would it be to do well on the first week (it’s all about the first week these days) or just say « screw this, she is popular anyways and let’s release anytime »? I doubt it’d be the later, producing vinyls remains an investment on their part and they’d want her to be « profitable ». Again, Billie had teased since March that the album was done, she went the « no single, very short pre-release » avenue… but it was still a five-week périod, to build the hype. Beyoncé and Taylor didn’t surprise drop their latest albums either, having a pre-release period of two months. Lana is doing well these days, even better than I thought she’d do (she is the 4th most streamed female artist, surpassing artists that released big albums this year, thanks to Tough and the BTD immortality and resurgence on the charts during summertime). But I don’t think a 10-day prerelease period would be enough to build hype with the GP. Of course, the second she announces an new album and a preorder comes up, LB will buy all the vinyl variants, but I’m not sure it would be enough for the rest of the world to notice.
  5. Then its not impossible. Billie pulled it off with her latest and they’re with the same label the date makes no sense though, for an album release (it’s not a Friday)
  6. Very unlikely : a preorder for an August 9 release would make it ten days of a pre-era, which is never heard of since 2017 (the year Billboard changed their admissibility rule for week 1 sales and numbers).
  7. That’s what written in the code. Nobody knows what this is.
  8. The same user who gave us the cover for the Tough single said there is something coming on July 30, on Lana’s website for a August 9 release (« soft launch » on the 30th). Our own @hotshot2am didn’t see anything so far but that it could be added on Monday. Probably some new merch but we’ve been speculating it could be the lead single to Lasso (wouldn’t make much sense to have the whole album on August 9, though; my guess was it could be a pre-save link on the 30th for the official release on the 9th, but i know nothing in coding and programming so ) there was also an anonymous post on d**** saying the lead single was coming in the next weeks, that it was called in God’s own time (or in God’s Time? I can’t remember the exact title), and that it was the real title to the song she performed as an intro at her Fenway Park show (we thought it was called The Mirror). and that’s pretty much it. There is also the Jeff Buckley special she’ll attend on Sept 15. We were hoping for a new cover but it’s apparently just interviews and not a new performance
  9. It’s a false tweet. They never wrote that. Their latest, about Lana, is that she is considering tour dates for South America.
  10. Anyone else wondering when did she meet her ex again to write songs with him? And also why?
  11. It’s going to be something like « I have my lasso rounded around you while I chase you down the avenue »
  12. Wasn’t it one of her captions also for an Insta post?
  13. So the Fenway Park song would be the lead? That’s an incredible track from what we heard but an odd choice as a lead for the GP. If any of it is true, of course. But hey, I’m here for it
  14. Watch this be a new cover for the Tough vinyl
  15. Maybe it’s a « pre-save » for the lead single next week for an official release on August 9? I can’t see her having the album for preorder for less than 10 day before official release, even if the vinyls are all pressed
  16. Labels seem to have a very tough () time this year with their releases. It is a very busy year, with each label having big names having a new album (and Taylor threatening everyone with the Reputation TV rerelease), which makes it very hard to get a « strategic » release date for each one of their artists. But both Pop Insiders and Leak Nations mentioned that Lana is releasing in the next weeks. I guess she finally got the go from her label. it’d be a smart move on their part: I’m pleasantly surprised how good she is doing these days in terms of streaming.
  17. Yesterday, the Henry snippet popped on my Twitter / X feed, thanks to a fan account. I haven’t heard it in months, but I must say it found it so beautiful, so peaceful and although it’s a simple song (from what we heard) the melody was stuck in my head all day long.
  18. https://x.com/leaksnation_/status/1810586863679287338?s=46&t=9DAe1og0lBbLa_v4qZjMpA https://x.com/leaksnation_/status/1808992391216480428?s=46&t=9DAe1og0lBbLa_v4qZjMpA I take what they say with a big grain of salt (they have been wrong in the past or Lana could very much change her mind), but at least I’m not on the edge of my seat, waiting for a new song from her.
  19. I have a feeling she’ll tease some of it in August
  20. I must admit that her last two remarks about it are odd to say the least. I wonder if the rumours that her label wanted her to rework it a bit are true or if it’s just that she is scared to be compared to other artists like you said. Anyways, at the moment, I decide to believe these “insider accounts” on Twitter that say that the album is still coming at the end of the year and that we’ll get the lead single in September. Makes the waiting game much more bearable.
  21. I wonder if Lana knows how obsessed LB is with that damn photo of her notebook and how we bring it up every time we talk about what Tropico could have been, like it’s some mystical biblical text to some “Shangri-La lost Eden” sort of album
  22. Blue Banisters was a bit different, no? Didn’t she say she didn’t want to promote this album at all? Probably because she didn’t want to be questioned about certain lyrics, I guess. anyways, even if Ocean Blvd was very personal, she still managed to promote and have a good rollout, so I guess Lasso will be a bigger era.
