It came from the same person who leaked the Tough cover art. They said that there was a « soft launch » planned for July 30th for an August 9th release. But they also said that they didn’t know what it was for, probably merch. That person didn’t come back here to give us more explanations (and I must say that I totally get it: I don’t think they were trolling us, but the tone LB sometimes get when things don’t come through ) My theory is that it was for Quavo’s Fly: we did get the first snippet on July 29th and it was released today, August 9th.

Yeah I totally knew it meant nothing but seeing Twitter accounts posting about it gave me false hopes

Im always here for Lana working with the same producer as long as the overall work they did together doesn’t stall or sound repetitive. So far, I think Jack’s work with Lana isn’t, although NFR and OB were, to me, the best out of the three (and they both have in common that there were other producers for at least four other songs, so…). True, some songs on CoCC sound like what he did with Lorde, but not the vast majority of it (he honestly is way more repetitive while working with Taylor, but that’s another debate altogether). And like you mentioned, each album with Lana brought masterpieces and career highlights, so I’m not against Jack but I also like when others are brought on board.

I think Shazam will show up with the Henry, Come On title because there are some YouTube videos of the snippet (that’s what I gathered from what members wrote, months ago). As for the Fenway track 🤷🏼 Isn’t there a more reliable app to track down when a song will be released? Like the one Kintsugi used in the OB era?

Personally, I do think that Lasso is finished. I think it has been for « a while » (like at least three months): we did get In God’s Time and Tough at Fenway Park (if both are indeed part of the album). i agree with you that I think it’s coming this fall. i know many people don’t trust any of the Twitter « insider » accounts, but I think that the lead to Lasso coming in September like one account suggested is highly plausible, with a short pre-release period (October release, similar to what we got with Blue Banisters once the preorder happened : five weeks before).

The fact that she’s been « chilling » this summer makes me say either one of the two : - the album is done and Interscope wants the right moment to release it in this busy year (plans could very well be made already); - or (I really hope it’s not the case) she wants to change things to it, change the concept or Jack isn’t available at the moment and Lasso is on pause.

I wish we could say that her next show, on the 20th? 21st? (Don’t remember the exact date, sorry ) would be an indicator that something was coming beforehand, but hey, it’s not a world tour to support a new album / era… And she is so random, with her shows: even Fenway Park, although it was one of her best in a while, I don’t get why we got two new songs on that show (and even merch) and not the other ones…

Like I’ve said many times, could be Lana who changed her mind or it could also be the label, if something was indeed planned for yesterday. It’s a humongous year for releases and plans seem to change a lot over the weeks, to get attention on singles and albums. anyways, a single is surely on the way for the next weeks: she did perform In God’s Time at Fenway (so the LP is surely done)
