  1. I really don't think she is scraping NFR all over. My guess is that she is adding more songs, hopefully a couple of ones that feel more «summery» since we are probably heading in that direction? I am not mad about the «we don't have a date yet» (i'm pretty glad to know I don't have to constantly watch for something to drop). As I said, it's a weird strategy, to release tracks from a record 6 months+ before its release, but overall, a 2-year period between albums is pretty standard. I'm pretty sure the songs will be good; I have the easy job to sit on my ass and wait for them lol.
  2. Ok I just read the whole thing... Let’s regroup and calm down: it doesn’t mean she scraps anything. Maybe NFR is indeed finished but she is finalizing the poetry book and wants to stick to her word, and have it released first. And even if NFR is not done, i simply see she adds songs, songs that might be more « suitable » for a probable summer release (read here Cinnamon is probably safe). Again, the thing I truly blame her for is teasing so much of something that wasn’t done. And this time, we can’t blame leaks.
  3. When we finally know the date, we’ll be able to not be constantly on the edge of our seat, waiting for something that might happen soon. Of course, if it’s later than March or April, we’ll have our meltdown fuelled by anger and disappointment, but we’ll be able to « move on » with our life after that.
  4. MAC: black and white or with ocean blue tones VB: I see pastel colors of pink, blue, yellow and dark green Hope: Purple or dark grey In Your Car: Sunset tones of orange and yellow. I see mint green in contrast. HTD: dark blue, like a sky at night, and blue sky for the last part of the song (when she sings about her California life and that she'll always be right here) Cinnamon: dark purple (almost black) with the same yellow of streetlights (it's really a «night song» to me). HIaB: the colors of the sunset again (orange, yellow, a bit of pink, red).
  5. Everyone has the right to have a favorite album of hers, but I was just saying that if someone doesn't like HM, LFL and NFR at all, then why stay here and just not admit that you don't like the turn her music took (and move on with your life)? As for the laziness and mess thing, it can apply to her marketing and for the visuals of this era, but not, to me, to her songwriting or even the production of her albums. It bugs me when someone calls her lyrics lazy these days: Jesus fucking Christ, are you a songwriter yourself to call her lazy on her lyrics? Did you do so much better yourself?!? Maybe I worship her too much since I have no musical talent whatsoever, but when I hear what is playing on the radio or other alternative female songwriter, nothing gets to me the way her music does, and that's what matters to me.
  6. Totally agree with you on that one. It's the problem with social media: what a person thinks must now become the new normal. And this site sure follows that trend. Anyways, I have always had my own opinion about her albums and I don't care if people don't like them: it won't change how I feel about them. The only thing that concerns me is when people criticize a situation and bash when their idea is based on no facts at all or false facts : that's when I reply and try to make my point. I really like reading your comments: we might not always agree and you can sometimes express your opinion fiercely (after all, your nickname is Peroxyde lol), but I respect your POV
  7. I think it's almost a running joke that you almost have to hate LFL lol. LFL will always be the album that will divide us, because it's so different. Generally speaking, people who love NFr so far are the ones that love cohesive and "mood-oriented" records like UV and HM. I also love LFL, but I must admit it's her least cohesive album (which isn't a bad thing, after HM and before NFR). Anyways, we all have the right to our opinion, and people here sure will question it lol.
  8. I don't know what to think anymore of people here sometimes... If you don't like what she put out since UV, then why torture yourself and stay on the bandwagon? it's perfectly normal to love artists at a certain point of your life and not like them anymore after that. But to keep hanging on and hoping that her future music will sound like something out of previous ears is unrealistic. Plus she said, in her Complex interview last year, that she didn't care losing fans. She is stubborn and will put out music she loves. I still love her very much, and I connect with each album. True, some of her choices are quesitonable with this era. But the terms "lazy" and "trash" constantly written are just too much. You might not like what she offers, but don't exagerate. And just listen to the radio at some point: even her weakest songs are 10 times better than the lyrics we hear these days.
  9. The poem is quite good because it's still quite Lana: I was afraid she was going to imitate famous poets, but it's not the case. Happy is like one of her songs, just a tad more elaborate. It could complement many NFR songs. I like how she often talks about two things in a song and her poem is in that vein.
  10. Not totally impossible. It's a mix of In Your car and Hope Is a Dangerous Thing. Plus didn't she say that the two first songs she recorded with Jack had some of the lyrics she most proud of? Could be that one, the other being Hope (which has stunning lyrics, really). anyways, good news is that news are coming very soon. Whether for the poetry book or NFR (maybe both, who knows?)
  11. She sure loves a mystery... No caption to those words? It's probably the poetry book (I mean, the sentences of that song would be endless lol), but just something to clarify would have been welcomed. But hey, who knows? Maybe it is the second song she recorded with Jack on the first day they worked together in the studio.
  12. LOLLLLL! I don't remember the fanbase outside LB being this savage and thirsty for infos during the LFL era...
  13. Good, a selfie and some Twitter wisdom... now where's the fucking album?
  14. Unless it’s a “semi surprise release”, I don’t think it’s coming next month. If it isn’t, she really missed an opportunity there: the end of the year (starting this spring) is crowded as hell and her introspective songs don’t go hand in hand with summer. Who knows what her plans are anymore?
  15. Eclipse and psychics are our best bet at this point lol
  16. At this point, our best chance to survive this pre-release thread is to act like Lana: to not give a fuck about it and move on. It's gonna come at some point, but who knows when? There are too many questions unanswered and she doesn't answer to any: - is NFR really done or that story of Jack when they are in the studio means they are adding some songs? If that it is the case, she is pulling out another LFL by adding new shit to it and who knows when that will come out. - is Violets Bent Backwards coming before NFR? - where is the lead, cover art and release date? It's really an awkward way of promoting an album, what is happening right now, and it's weird Interscope isn't doing something at this point. At this point, it's either she'll release it very soon, almost as a «surprise drop» next month, or really in a couple of months.
  17. Is it standard of Vanity Fair to do an interview with nothing in it lol?
  18. I get that she does things her own way. I love the songs she gave us. But. We have now reached the point where she needs to do something. We are about to rest the 6-month mark of the pre-release: it’s turning out to be a new world record.
  19. if I'm right, it was a few days before the infamous and rumored May 26 release. She had to specify at that point. That and everyone was on her back to confirm something. Therefore the «July 21 fam» tweet. But with this era, she did something really new: she use to do records for herself mostly, now she is releasing it only to herself
  20. Can’t believe Marina released the lead last week and will announce the album date tomorrow. Lana, take notes, for God’s sake.
  21. It’s a bit depressing to see that many artists who dropped a first single from their new album around the time she dropped MAC and VB (or later) are actually releasing their record very soon, while we are still in limbos. The waiting game is getting thin.
