My dream show from her would be if she sang UV or HM from cover to cover, in a small venue, with a small band, and piano... A bit like what she did at the Apple event in October. So, a residency could be cool, but in a few years from now, in California. And I'd love her to do something like I just described.

I guess because interscope wants another number 1 album. January releases tend to go unnoticed, plus she has the Gucci campaign. Plus the poetry book... Maybe she is still filming some footage for the videos?!?

I think I am one of the few here who doesn't care that much for a big video for this era. The songs and snippets we heard from NFR are more intimate to me, and to have a «homemade» video kinda fits the vibe. Plus her first videos were the most important ones since they helped shape her image. Nowadays, we know who she is and don't need that big budget thing to prove it (plus everybody here kinda hated the LFL videos, which were produced by a big director). We'll get the glamour from her Gucci appearances and campaign ; the rest can be toned down, I don't care. I just want new music lol

She's never been very active around the Holiday season, except for the «Christmas» post each year. The tracklisting is kinda blurry in my head. I get «track 3 vibes» also for NFR, but who knows? I think it might be something like this for the first tracks: Unknown track 1, MAC, NFR. If so, maybe she is «breaking the cycle» with this album. The songs already feel even more intimate from her previous work. Maybe to have the title track not at number 1 or 2 would «confirm» this. But I don't know, really.

I don’t think she has that much manœuvre with the release date since she is involved in a couple of shows for this spring / summer. She has to release it before that. Then again, it’s Lana... So very unlikely but not impossible also :/ ?!?? Don’t know what to think anymore lol

Actually, my fave era for its release was Honeymoon, because everything was tied up ib a very short period. I don’t mind to have no news or few promo magazines interviews as long as we have good music. HM happened just a year after UV (and she released 2 songs for Big Eyes and her collab with Emile in between), she teased the title track in late June, we got the audio in July, followed by HBTB in August, and the album released in September (with 3 promo singles prior to that one). I get that she is more popular right now, and she is all over the place with her many projects, but a 6-month Pre-Release period is very long if there is a 2-month silent period in it.

It’s a real weird era we’re having indeed. 2 singles, four or five snippets... then nothing. And a six-month Pre-Release period? You gotta be fucking kidding me. Plus: no interviews, no photo shoots. The only thing saving this era are the 2 live performances she did and the fact that the music is gorgeous. The only silver lining I see to all this is that things will pick up very fast in January... or at least I hope so.

I loved the LFL trailer... but thought it was a bit odd we didn’t get that witchy vibe that much on the album. If we have a trailer, I hope it is cohesive with the vibe of the album!

True. But at this point, I prefer fake news and fake track listings. Makes me laugh and it avoids a collective meltdown and shitshow. We’ve gotten to the point where there are too many VB haters in here.

I agree. The lyrics are cute in their naïveté, but it’s the way the production shifts every 10 seconds in its trippy vibes that makes that song such a stunning one. She never was more alternative than in that track.
