  1. Seems accurate for Dan Auerbach. But Jack... not so sure. No matter what album he produces, you have the feeling it’s still the artist’s game, and doesn’t feel out of place.
  2. That song is just so freaking beautiful. It’s the same feeling that she served on Old Money: she will always love that guy no matter what. What a song. It’s just so beautiful.
  3. I Love The contrast between « To Disappear » and « i’ll always be right here »
  4. I thought that January was very plausible. But her Saturday livestream makes me think it could be released in February since Jack and her are still mixing HTD, which I thought was done. But I doubt that the production will drag out much longer: like she said in her livestream, Jack is a very busy guy and works for 9-day stretches a month on NFR. Though they have a good time with the album, i’m not sure Lana can stretch her collaboration with him beyond January 2019.
  5. The October single was always a big maybe. I expect one in November or December, closer to the album release. One with more « radio play » power.
  6. That would be very cool. That and to get the album on Rockwell’s actual birthday (in Feb. I think)
  7. I’m kinda hoping she releases it earlier... Like in November or December. It won’t happen, I know... I like that she teases each song of NFR... but that early?!??
  8. I think that we will get more than 11 songs with NFR. Maybe 12, possibly 13. And hey, even if that album has « only » 11 songs, one of them is 9 min 36... Her albums (except LFL) tend to be an hour long... NFR will probably hit that mark.
  9. alright, the complaining is too much right now. Snippets are snippets, guys. They are never representative of the song in its whole, especially with Lana. And you seem to forget that with each record. Honestly, who loved Cinnamon from the first snippet? Not the second one where the beat drops, but the piano part? I'll say it again, but when I listened to all the snippets of UV back to back, without hearing the whole record, I thought they sounded all the same. And yet, it is one of my faves from her now, with HM. Lana's songs have a lot of subtilities and you have to listen to them many times, in full, to realize all of them.
  10. NFR seems to be very «Yin and Yang»: bops like VB and Cinnamon (and some others we have yet to hear) and slow ballads like HiAB. Sylvia Plath, HTD, MAC. Exactly. I don't mind if Lana is a ballad singer. I have plenty other artists not doing them.
  11. Seems that the snippets will be how we get the tracklisting time around. Although this album won’t be released for a good 3 months at least.
  12. The snippet gives no clue to the production... Love the lyrics. I get «Heroin» vibes from that one.
  13. So the Sylvia song is real... Love the lyrics. Is there a melody in that snippet ? Lol But I know a snippet is not reprentative of the song, most of the time. Now I really want to hear the Bartender song!!
  14. Just a thought... But could NFR be her way of saying all she ever wanted to say to all her previous BF? Like Barrie, Francesco (or whatever the fuck is name was), and all the others... After all, the «writer type» she references on VB reminds me a lot of the guy in Is This Happiness. If so, even if we don't like it, she dated G-Greasy and MGK could be playing his «part» on the featured track. Just a thought though.
  15. I don't think so. In fact, I believe that all of her albums are unique and will never be duplicated.
  16. What?!?!? after 2 singles and 4 snippets (one that is 7 second-long, this is the conclusion to jump to?!?! And it's okay! You have every right! The 3 videos that were out for LFL were visually stunning. Ok, BAR should have had the visuals of the Wm video. LFL lacked a bit of a story, but was visually sublime. Love is my favorite one of the bunch. With this era, though, she's back to the homemade visuals. I'm not necessarily against it, it works perfect for VB and the sound of NFR so far, but we'll see for the others
  17. disagree on that one. There is a story, a story of how you feel right before you want to make big changes in your life. It tells the story of a grown woman who wants to be happy, in tune with the world (Love). She falls in love... only to realize the guy's a total douche (Lust for Life to In My Feelings). She then takes a break from her heartbreak to open her eyes to the world around her (Coachella to WWTWAW). Her problems seem kind of unimportant though present (BPBP, TNC). She then gets to a really low point (Heroin), only to find out that she is changing, something is happening in her life, and she wants to get out of her evil ways, to be happy again (Change and Get Free).
  18. Ok, guys, I will say it again: but you need to chill out a bit. I love Lana as much as you do, I truly do. She is the only artist that I completely connect with. But let's not forget one thing: she's in charge. If she wants to bring someone along to collab, it's her choice. And she said, in her 2017 Complex interview, that she doesn't give a fuck about losing fans along the way. Period. We only heard 2 singles and 4 snippets of NFR: we don't have the whole picture here. Maybe the collab with MGK will be a stunning track and I believe it will fit the album. I wasn't a big believer in the Summer Bummer snippet and I have been pleasantly surprised by the track. So I trust her. And the production sounds very Jack, so I am not so sacred anymore. Confession here: a few days prior to the release of UV, when I heard the 30-second snippets to each song, I wasn't very convinced. It sounded all the same to me. Same with the LFL snippets: my favorite songs on that album didn't have very concluding snippets. But for all of her albums, you have to let it sink in. Including LFL. Each album tells a story, one that connects to the album before. And the songs you didn't like as much at first end up becoming your favorites later. It's always been that way with me with all of her records.
  19. LFL was as critically acclaimed as HM. Don’t They have the same Metacriric score (which combines critic and fan scores)? Hardcore stans were the ones who didn’t like it. And it debuted at number 1 too. All of those look good for her with interscope.
  20. She does. But we must not forget that she signed with Interscope and after UV, they pretty much gave her the creative liberty she wanted, it seems. In the end, nobody objected to VB, and it's a 10-minute single. So that liberty she has can be a two-sided sword: sometimes we will love what she will come up next and sometimes we won't.
  21. You're right about the fact that many people hate TNC. We'll have to wait and see. I am relieved to hear that the rumors that it was a dissing track seem false. for all of you who wanted depressed and sad Lana, I think NFR will serve. Even HIaB is kind of a downer lol and that collab with MGK won't tell a story ending up with a wedding.
  22. Maybe she got pissed of having her track listing leaked or snippets played by major sites like Amazon or steaming services? That way, she gets to control things? Maybe she got pissed of having her track listing leaked or snippets played by major sites like Amazon or steaming services? That way, she gets to control things? The Jack production sounds nice. MGK brings the male perspective in Lana’s music... The album will be coherent Maybe this won’t be my fave song, but it doesn’t sound as bad you all predicted
  23. You're right about the song UV. a few months after UV (the album) came out, she said she had gone too far, lyrically and all with that record. I supposed she was tired of being asked how many guys in the industry she had fucked and if she was depressed.
  24. was wondering the same. Then I remembered that she said that she wanted to MAYBE release it in October.
