  1. It’s usually available at midnight of every time zone. Which means NZ should be listening to it in less than 2 or 3 hours?
  2. Interesting and, of course, debatable https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/best-lana-del-rey-songs-1234696106/music-to-watch-boys-to-1234696245/ Serial Killer is on there, as well as A&W and Tunnel’s title track. probably deserves its own thread though
  3. well love her to death but are listening parties with the songs playing on speakers the best way to experience her albums, and that one especially?
  4. Lol just saw The Times review… didn’t think Arctic Monkeys were still that big in the UK No tea, no shade, I liked The Car, saw it debuted number 1 (I think?) on their release week, but that album isn’t very « chart friendly »… anyways, two more days until she destroys my soul
  5. As long as there aren’t other plants to produce vinyls, I don’t see how pre-release eras will change. It’s now pretty standard, for any artist, to have a 3 to 5 months between lead / preorder and release
  6. i took it that he was responding to people who thought that she’d release an EP of outtakes from Ocean Blvd or new tracks, like Taylor did with Midnights. But who knows?
  7. No tea no shade towards anyone, but some of y’all still expect the « BoZ surprise », when we got a global listening party confirmed on Wednesday? It’s major, it’s for the fans, it’s not new music, and it got announced the week it was supposed to… all the boxes check. Oh Byron, you dirty tease…
  8. At the moment, BB and COCC are seen as the « worst » albums, especially Bb. I’m not sharing this pov, but it is what it is. LFL was long viewed as all over the place, messy and such… but time has passed, new members came here and shared their input on it, became a fan because of it, so it’s more nuanced now. But it is the same thing with every album cycle: the previous one is seen as trash. LFL era, HM was viewed as a snooze-fest and boring here, but became much more appreciated after LFL and NFR had been out.
  9. You’re totally right!!! Also, Many reviewers try to tie the album or songs to events that happened in an artist’s life prior to release and they love to quote the singles. And this is where you see if the reviewer did their job or not: If they don’t quote any other songs except for the singles, then it’s very suspicious…
  10. even though I also prefer BBS to VFR, many of her albums have songs that are considered « the best » by LB, and yet not doing so great on Spotify. california, from NFR, comes to mind : and yet, it doesn’t have the 100M stream mark. Which only proves that LB isn’t the gatekeeper of what’s good and bad or what she should do for the next albums
  11. I don’t want her to stop making music at all… I just need a little breather between this album and the next pre-release… Like 6 months minimum before we all get back into the delulu train and FOMO and fights and all. Pre-releases are excited but a bit draining also and very consuming.
  12. For future pre-releases, we should all tell ourselves that Lana doesn’t do « bops » (although some songs seem to be boppish on this one). That way, nobody will be deceived and will be able to listen to the songs without any misconceptions or being all "RIP my bop album". it sure helped me appreciate BB.
  13. I can’t wait for Friday to hear if this album will mirror where I am at the moment in my life, the way UV, HM, LFL and NFR did. Although, in retrospect, COCC and BB kinda were where I was with the whole pandemic, but I was pretty much in denial and wanted some bops to escape from that hell. but so far, I do love the concept of being more open and more raw that is brought on Ocean Blvd
  14. I have yet to hear the album in full to weigh on Drew, but the Zach-produced Hollywood Bowl, on Rob’s album, has me very interested… I really love the subtle prod he brings to a Lana track (I wouldn’t take necessarily a whole album by him, but any track by him is welcomed)
  15. For the first time in my life… it’s a hard pass for me. Love her with all of my heart, I’d take a couple of standalone tracks after Ocean Blvd, maybe the cover album sometime in 2024, but hell nah for LDR10 this year. This thread is proof it shouldn’t happen for everyone’s sanity. We can’t control ourselves when it comes to her and anxiety is making everyone fucking insane.
  16. WFWF has got to be the biggest disappointment in her career for me, because it really doesn’t showcase at all what Mike Dean could do as a producer. Like you’re working with Mike effing Dean and it sounds like something her LFL could have pulled off.
  17. Im going to say Ride Not that I hate it at all, I used to love it, I don’t skip it, but everytime it comes on, I feel nothing towards it anymore. The video is also a bit overrated (except for the monologue).
