  1. The last chorus on Let The Light In with the strings and Lana’s high notes
  2. The only thing I agree on is the Judas Smith interlude. It PTSDs me way too much.
  3. Go to your settings, select Music (Apple Music). If you scroll, the option DolbyAtmos should be there (I think it’s on by default)
  4. I dont know what she did with this album, with what it’s laced, but I can’t stop listening to it (and have done very little work today )
  5. It really is incredible in HQ. Although the part that haunts me, after each listen, is « You’ve been acting kinda restless… »
  6. not sure I fully agree (and keep in monde that I’ve only begun listening to the album). At the moment, some parts are (the last stretch of the album has viral moments in store for sure), but others need some adjusting to (Fingertips, Kintsugi, the interludes…)
  7. If they want to extend the album’s era longer than, well, just release week, then Lana needs to film a double MV made of Peppers and Taco Truck, our for May/June.
  8. Grandfather really is sublime. And could be the song with the best sample incorporated / extrapolated.
  9. Fingertips and Kintsugi are better with each listen. (but, NGL, Kintsugi feels a little bit like Lana saying to Jack: « I’m so sorry you couldn’t be part of BB, here let’s make a track together just like that album so you won’t feel left out )
  10. I love the new pics posted this week.. Are they in the boxset? 👀
  11. That song is simply amazing. I love when Lana channels the « end of the night, in the dive-in bar »!!! When Jon sings along, it’s so magical. but thank god it wasn’t the first single: LB would have bitched for endless weeks that it’s « another boring piano ballad », although it’s a jazzy piano ballad.
  12. Really love Taco Truck, especially when it slips into Venice Bitch. It was a bold move to, sample that monument of a song that didn’t feel like copy-paste. i only wish that she’d make the Taco Truck a bit longer… the melody is just so fucking amazing.
  13. Oh Fishtail - Peppers - Taco Truck I’d never thought I’d want to strip to « you wanted me sadder »
  14. I’m still listening to it, first listen. (By the way, guys, I do t know how you first listened to many song in lq this album begs for good headphones). Lets begin with the bad: JudasSmith interlude: I’ve been plenty vocal about it before, but I’ve been (miserable) in church way too often in my life to appreciate it. Beautiful melody but shut up, preacher. By the way, I don’t know how long his sermons last, but I can’t have someone yell at me for 30min+ Sweet and Kintsugi both feel like they could have been on Blue Banisters. Candy Necklace : a bit surprise that it’s gonna be a single. I love it though, there are a lot of « late night singer in a dive bar » vibes to it, very jazzy. Also love the interlude afterwards. These two will grow on me a lot. Kintsugi and Fingtertips are both a lot as expected, almost « melody less ». They need some adjusting to. Beautiful lyrics, especially on Fingertips. But when you transition to Paris Texas and Grandfather: wow. And things pick up after that. LET THE FUCKING LIGHT IN Margaret sounds way better than I thought. Also more ballad than expected. but it’s so sweet? Like something you’d play at your parents or grandparents’s anniversary ? i don’t know if I’m reading too much into this, if it’s the early early spring messing with my brain, but this album feels like the first half is winter, then transitioning into the spring of the second half.
  15. You know y’all how I feel about that I need six months before any announcement, before speculations and false hope, before finding out if new insiders are just full of sh*t or really are who they claim they are, and so on.
  16. I really really love the songs she did with Zach, but put them all together side by side, and it might be too much of a mellow and subtle album…
  17. The album isn’t even out for me. Give me a break, guys
  18. This is the interview that kept on giving: - she finally put to rest how we should count her albums (Paradise being her second because it is too long for an EP); - she gave us an update on Behind the iron gates… 😢 I hope we get to hear the 7 audio poems of what was that project, someday.
