Again, like I said before, what did her management honestly expect? The album is supposedly in people's hands since last summer, and yet the strategy still was to have a proper rollout, with physical copies and digital release on the same day... If they wanted nothing to leak, maybe plans should have been changed... (digital release in December and physical preorders, even if it means no number 1 for sure). Not mad at all at that decision they made (we're still getting a complete, long, new album a year and a half-ish after BB), but their reaction of being disappointed and upset, I mean... The real shocker is that it didnt leak yet too much and that there are still no real snippets that we know of. Not that i want that at all, she deserves all the numbers / coins she can get, especially with this album shaping up to be incredible, but if the album is circulating, it's still very much in small groups, which is very good given the situation.

2023 will be a very good year for her milestones: both UV and NFR are expected to hit the 2 Billion stream mark, BTD should get to 6 Billions... and HM will FINALLY hit 1 B

Plus CDs were shipped the week before the official release, at least in Canada, through Amazon... BB was a mess for her numbers because of the shipping delays or before time.

A bit off topic, but was it just a rumor or has it been really confirmed that Eclipse receives his news on Wednesday? Anyways, maybe next week?

And both UV and BTD had their biggest streaming days ever a couple of days ago... She has a growing fanbase and something just a tad wilder than the title track or «sadcore-ish», could draw very big numbers in the next weeks... (another example: Dealer, which is very UV in spirit IMO, is the biggest «hit» of BB... and had its viral moment on TikTok when it got released)

I feel you so much! I know what my top 3 albums are (NFR; UV = HM)... but after that, it's getting harder and harder with each release to rank them. The first 3 are near perfect and I have a hard time not playing them from start to finish (even after all these years), but the rest of her discography is also incredible. Any artist would kill to have a body of work so cohesive, and even the albums I dont connect as much all have gems and classic Lana songs... And to think that she achieved that in just 10-ish years Anyways, I cant wait for TUOB anymore

It’s more and more common, since last year, to have the lead with preorder for physical copies. one thing seems for sure though: I don’t think she’ll be able to release single.s before she is done with an album anymore: it’s pretty much 5 months before an album is submitted and vinyls being ready and shipped, these days.

Im wondering how much « planned » the campaign was when the preorder went up… Like maybe they just decided to have a second single with a MV?!? And maybe there were some talks about magazine covers / interviews but nothing firm? We’ve been thinking that the whole campaign was planned and got postponed by two weeks… but maybe there wasn’t even one to begin with until two weeks ago?!?

Since Kintsugi confirmed the « Jimmy Jimmy Coco Puff » line to be true, I think it’s the « J » of the acronym; it sure is weird enough to be on that track

TBH, I don't even know what is «single material» anymore, when it comes to her She doesn't even want to have her songs on radio most of the time or they are not very often pushed on airplay, which was the traditional definition of single... To me, when it comes to Lana, a single should be a track that draws attention to it... Venice Bitch sure wasn't single material at all, for its duration and yet, it was released as a single and got a lot of people talking about it. except for the two interludes, I think almost any track could be a single at this point... (still a fervent «A&W as next single» supporter, but all the songs now seem amazing, based on the info we got so far)

It would be a good choice since it's a Jon Batiste feat. But most of the time, Lana's snippet game never equals next single (sadly) Our minds!!!!

We havent heard anything from A& W yet, but I think maybe QFTC is a bit «channeled» on that one... So maybe a QFTC2 could give us another iconic track

Same! 'm a bit thrown off by the two-week delay, TBH, when it comes to «schedule» of anything happening. The mid point between the preorder and release seemed like a good idea to have another single... but I havent checked when that is now (not that it's any indication either...)

Bravo! I'd add: The W interview and photoshoot: not only iconic, but very much what the cover is all about. And let's not forget the billboard in Tulsa to shade her ex

At this point, any single will be welcomed But I'm still hoping it's A&W, because I want the next single to be the last before the album is released but at the same time, I want something substantial to «digest» before the album itself and a 7+ min track is exactly that

Will there be a single cover? This is the only advantage I see to using Spotify: single covers. Once the preorder is up, on Apple Music, its the album cover that is automatically associated with the single (although its easy to change )

I'm having a slower day today at work, so I dont' expect news Tomorrow and Saturday are already looking to be super busy... It's happening there, I'm sure.

No tea no share towards Lana, but I wonder why she posts her stuff so late… Like the festival show in Brazil… we found out through a reporter, than the festival in itself and then she posted about it… every time she posts, my heart is like only to be like « yeah we already knew that » I just hope the new IG account won’t be some rehash of everything we already know.
