Really missing the TR, SUCKER & Vroom Vroom eras.. She hasn't done anything as strong since imo. I wish her actual third album cycle didn't turn out the way it did, she had so much planned for it

That's not what I rlly meant.. Those songs feel much more deeper than the rest of her music which is something K-12 and possibly her new album are lacking. It made listening to her music feel much more personal and gave it a certain charm. I hate to admit it but Cry Baby would've been a much less interesting album without songs like Mrs. Potato Head on it. She's more than capable of doing it without connecting it to childish themes as well, so why not? That's just how I feel tho

As much as I like these newer songs, I would've wished she made more songs in the same vein as Rocking Horse, Bombs on Monday, WDBCF or Mrs. Potato Head. She hasn't done any since but we'll see if that happens I guess

Needle & Thread is giving heavy Cry Baby vibes

The thing is, she doesn’t NEED to make basic pop music to for a hit. There’s plenty of singers/artists who have hit songs that stand out from the rest of their discography, some even masterpieces. She has so much potential to make hit songs but so far she’s missing that mark. None of these new songs have much depth to them which is I guess what she’s going for…?

At this point my expectations are getting lower with each new song I hear
