I love UV so fucking much but people are obsessed with it and can't let it go. They do not realize it's lyrically her weakest album and simple towards the end. The first 5 songs including Old Money are what makes it stand out. other than that.....

I’m not sure who you’re meaning exactly but I’m waiting for multiple reasons. I posted why and what it’s about to me about 100 pages ago. I just think if you’re like me and give a damn about how the music sounds and was intended to sound, you should wait. If you don’t have your fun but you’re just going to come back in this thread wanting to talk about it when it has nothing to do with the pre-release part of an era. And then what, be angry when you’re spoiling people and they get mad at you for doing so? I’ve seen bunches of posts without spoiler tags bc these little fuckers keep on and on and have absolutely no consideration for other fans...

 

We know you all have opinions about the album!!! But can you save your opinions for AFTER the post release thread is made so we can ALL discuss together!!? I don’t see why that’s not a good idea... it’s annoying seeing conversations going on about an album that’s been exploited over selfishness. It’s just plain rude.

I totally understand where you're coming from, and I promise that I'm not talking about you. Just don't think I need to make it a personal situation here. I was merely making a blanket statement. You're totally fine

But there are some here who (probably unintentionally) take everything personally if it agrees or doesn’t agree with their own opinions. If it agrees, they feel validated, if it doesn’t, they feel s**t upon or attacked.

 

If I say, ‘I think ‘Bartender’ is great” and they don’t, they’re bothered. They attack, they attempt to bully me and others.

 

I wish they would understand that we’re just expressing individual opinions of our own and whether our opinions mesh or don’t mesh with those of others is a secondary consideration at best. The purpose of this site, to the best of my knowledge, is not to build consensus but to share thoughts, responses and ideas.

I understand that, but people expressing opinions aren't who I'm talking about with my original post. Yes, forums are to share thoughts and ideas, but people take it too far by saying things along the lines of "what's wrong with you! You're a fake fan for listening to leaks! I'm so much better for waiting!" Those people are who I was talking about. If you're not that person, then it doesn't apply to you.

I'm talking about the people who have been attacking everyone for listening to LQ leaks like it affects them in ANY way. What sense does that make? You aren't special and you aren't getting any prizes.

People who haven't listened to the leaks sound awfully bitter and incredibly dramatic

So, what are the three newest tracks? Doin Time for sure. They finished How to Disappear late, so maybe that as well. I guess they might have decided to keep BAR fairly late in the game?

All of Lana's album are grower, but I really think this one will be the definition of it. FIILY, at first, sounded a bit «too subtle» and yet, its melody is stuck in my mind and I only listened to it 3 times. And anyways, I must admit I wasn't that awed by Video Games the first time I heard it. So Love Song, from your comments, will probably be in that vein to me.

 

Also: why did she rename Cinnamon to Cinnamon Girl? I read the lyrics and don't get it. 

It really is a grower. I could not stand Happiness is a Butterfly the first few listens, but now it's really growing on me.

Love Song sounds exactly like the title....a love song. It isn't supposed to be explosive or overly cinematic. I luv it

i actually tried to dislike some of the songs on the album (HIAB, hope,TNBAR) but i just.. i can't do it they've grown on me a lot even tho we still only have them in lq i even think i like the new lyrics in BAR but they'll still never compare to the old ones. i think the only one i just can't get past being on the album is doin time but i really love all these tracks her magnum opus is truly coming

 

This is how I'm feeling. My rating of HIAB has went up from a 3 to a 4.5. Making progress here, but it's definitely a song I have to be in a mood for
