in other news, the structure and outro of the claws demo is so much better than the final version :'( i hated that noisey ass mess of an outro on hifn
-
if she stays with atlantic after all these years she'll actually be the biggest dumbass ever....... they are 1000000% incapable of preventing this girls music from leaking. even if producers/collaborators/hackers are being blamed at the end of the day its the labels responsibility to ensure that nothing leaks or gets spread...
-
lmao ok true experimental isn't the word i was looking for, more so just uncommon since i don't think a ton of artists mix orchestral instrumentation or strings with house or electronic music, like the only other artist i listen to who does that is bjork
-
her previewing these songs for us when the album isnt out for 4.5 months is actually cruel......
-
YASSS you spilled
-
idk if anyone here has heard shygirls new song 'cleo' but this is exactly the vibe i'd love from bjorks new music - the classical instrumentation x experimental electronic/house-ey combo (although i'm sure bjork will be much less clubby and more experimental)
-
does anyone else hear big freedia backing in stupid stupid?
-
ugh i wish she would release makeover in some form truly one of my fav collabs between the two of them
-
looks like qt/hayden dunham/hyd is releasing a 4 song EP No Shadow Skin 2 Skin The One The Look On Your Face does anyone know if any of those songs were produced by sophie and teased at any of her shows? or are these all brand new?
-
https://dbree.org/v/b5eb2b made a rough lil mashup of the 2 y4m versions - i loved the intro of the second version but hated the piano/house drop
-
the first verse of the new gtgo sounds so much like slayyyter to me, even though i'm almost positive it isn't her
-
leaked a long time ago iirc
-
someone who's good at doing remasters should try to mix the new version of good thing going on... the mixing on the leak is atrocious
-
i just realized xcxoplex is the first actual charli release through PC music (her previous PC remixes like ily2 and doing it weren't actually released through PC)
-
i'm sorry but she literally just says "don't judge me" over and over followed by variations of similar sentences (i.e., take care of me, hold me, etc) by her standards it's quiet simple and vapid imo... vapid literally means unstimulating and that's exactly what twigs portion of this song is in comparison to her other work it's really not bad, just disappointing
-
it's not bad by any means just sooooooo underwhelming for her... probably her most simple and vapid song and it sounds like shes a feature since she only sings for like 1/4 of the song? it sounds like an unfinished demo, or something that would play as background music in a movie... not album material imo like compared to two weeks and cellophane, as a lead this would be embarrassing
-
i rly rly rly hope dont judge me is a standalone single and wont be included on the album lol
-
so beautifully written, had chills by the end... i literally wish i could read a 700 page novel of people's experiences with her and the progression of her career... miss her every single day and i'll be forever mourning the art that she would have contributed to the world
-
she's been talking about/dropping pics and hints about this era for so long (over a year now I think?) i'm getting SO impatient WE NEED THE MUSIC CHARLEIGH!
-
this is so unsurprising but also so infuriating... how many times has this woman had amazing music prepared that was shelved due to other peoples manipulation/opinions? boys noize, SOPHIE, artpop II, the list goes on of gaga projects that WOULD have been amazing if they came out. i genuinely don't understand if she's just so exhausted from the industry that she puts her trust in to literally anyone? like i feel like the second bloodp*p's judgemental ass tells her "NO DO THIS!" she abandons all creativity and focus and just does whatever he says... it's SO sad to see the wasted potential (that aside, i do think bloodpop made some really good contributions to chromatica but its undeniable that it couldve been SO much better of an album)
-
i thought i was the only one who noticed that... i was literally cringing as it played..... like it had potential but it sounds so abrasive lmao if she's gonna be a sellout (which she 100% is) at least give us well-done ads
-
there is genuinely nothing i've wanted more for the past 3 years than to hear the sophie x gaga collabs it's hard to tell whether her family giving permission is really in the way or not - she likely already had an agreement with basside to release but in gaga's case it seems like a new concept so there likely weren't any contracts before she passed :/ i rly rly rly rly hope it works out, all the other remixes sound great but i think this album (and gaga's discography) would be so empty without sophie
