  1. also... i have to say it... her song lyrics are infinitely more poetic compared to her actual poetry
  2. at the end of the day it's subjective, but i feel like her songwriting was so much better during the earlier albums, a lot of her songwriting is more straightforward and personal, which i can respect, but the descriptiveness, depth, beauty, and worldbuilding of the earlier albums just can't be beat, her songwriting on songs such as off to the races, bel air, ultraviolence, honeymoon, and countless other songs are just so much more interesting and impactful lyrically
  3. honestly, i agree, i like blue banisters, i suppose, but it feels like her weakest, most non-sensible project regarding how it was structured, blue banisters' best songs are the ones which were actually recorded for the album, like text book, blue banisters, and wildflower wildfire, but at the same time, we have beautiful and violets for roses which i don't think i've listened to since listening to the album for the first time lana's decision to release some of her old, leaked songs would've been a lot more of a tolerable idea for me if she didn't just release them as they were, nearly a decade old, and supposedly youtube rips, i personally think it was very lazy of her to do this, she didn't even go out of her way to try to find the original files, i feel like they should've been completely reworked, you can still hear the drums of thunder's demo in the album version, nectar of the gods sticks out so obviously on the same album with songs like blue banisters and arcadia because her musical, vocal, and songwriting style has changed so much over the past decade, i just don't understand what the intention was with a lot of the decisions of this album, some of the songs are deeply personal and are the stand-out tracks of the album, such as blue banisters and wildflower wildfire, and some are just... complete filler which make no sense with the narrative that lana was trying to go for with this album, as far as i can tell, like dealer, thunder, the trio, and beautiful i can respect and appreciate the fact that lana wanted this album to be an opportunity to bare her soul and to dive into the more personal aspects of her songwriting and experiences, but it just falls flat with this album, in my opinion, and a lot of it is because she just chose the wrong songs to put on this album, i feel like DYKTTATUOB accomplishes this goal a LOT better, ocean boulevard really does feel like the album blue banisters is meant to be
  4. banned accounts can technically still log in, but they can't access the contents of the website sometimes you'll see a banned user in the "who's online" box, sometimes lustforlife logs on, i don't know why, i don't know what he's trying to achieve

  8. if she releases any sort of "sped-up" version i will be so disappointed, i know we have that weird sped-up remix of summertime sadness, but we don't really know if that was her decision or her label, but i want to believe that lana can respect her own art and take herself seriously, i can't wait for this sped-up remix to die off
  9. i talk to jesus leaked long before blue banisters was being conceptualized, i don't even think chemtrails was out yet
  10. "release date: 2014" it appears to me that you've found yourself in an alternate universe where i talk to jesus was released on ultraviolence!
  11. a version of yes to heaven with taylor swift would be the worst possible thing... let's be for real
  12. now i'm suddenly curious if there's other songs we know of that were meant to go to other artists, obviously break my fall, roses, and ghetto baby were, i'm sure i'm forgetting some
  13. i can't imagine lana feeling compelled to release meet me in the pale moonlight considering it was a song she recorded for another potential artist, she probably doesn't feel that connected to it or anything
  14. candy necklace and yes to heaven couldn't be more different mood-wise and thematically... it would be a little camp
  15. it seems like it will be a different version we haven't heard before because the length is different
  16. i still have absolutely no desire for lana to release any of her old unreleased songs... i can listen to them just fine regardless if they're released or not i'm fine with her releasing a new version of yes to heaven though
  17. since the duration is different, is it likely to be a different version? maybe it was recorded recently yes to heaven has finally found a home in the ocean boulevard era!
  18. a happy couple's destination to disneyland, i see!
