  1. why does it matter if it's "experimental"? why does it matter if lana doesn't know the "outcomes of her decisions"? she did it because she wanted to, she probably did it knowing it will slightly change the relationship she has with her fans, in a way where it's less personal, she might've wanted it to be that way, regardless, it doesn't matter if this will affect her sales, or how her fans interact with her & her upcoming releases, she's taking a break from social media for a reason, whether it's because she's tired of all the hate she's received in the past year & a half, because she simply wants to focus on her friends & family, or she simply doesn't care for it anymore, it might affect her sales, it could also make hardly any difference, it doesn't matter! sales aren't everything, and she could decide to retire and she'd still be very well-off with a large, gorgeous discography that people will still listen to, because her music & art is beyond first-week sales and her twitter profile...
  2. i feel like some people are extremely bothered by the fact that she's taking a break from social media... yes, there is a possibility it could affect her presence in the entertainment world, or even with her own fans, however, she doesn't care, she shouldn't feel like having a larger presence, or promoting her work propery is a requirement, because it isn't! for her, it's about her artistry, she's a millionare, she probably won't be losing any sleep about the fact that she might lose a few fans, if they can't keep up with her without her instagram page, it's their issue! we all love seeing her succeed & doing great with streams & sales, however, it really shouldn't be what's important at the end of the day, it's her art which is important, i'm sure lana feels the same way
  3. i never cared for interludes at all, "trio" is a cool moment, however i would've preferred she would have another song in it's place instead
  4. exactly, if somebody produces great, quality music, people will listen regardless of their presence (although i will say, a big chunk of those monthly listeners are probably only listening to fade into you )
  5. blackbirds will sing in the same key as you play, in the shoes, that i bought you & sweet baby jane, don't know a thing about my songs, but she knows, i'm a monsoon! and baby you... all the things you do... and the ways you move... send me straight to heaven and baby you... what you never knew... what i never said... IS YOU'RE MY LIVING LEGEND!
  6. oh, i don't think "sweet carolina" is a cover of "sweet caroline" or anything like that, i think the title is just a reference
  7. people simply aren't ready for that conversation freak, however... aged like fine wine... very gracefully...

    Song vs. Song

out with a bang vs. elvis
  9. i believe was just allowed to post whatever she wanted, her label seems to give her a lot of freedom, and honestly the thought of a record label telling their artists what they can & cannot do regarding social media is really sketchy it's great that lana is free to do what she wants with social media
  10. either way, i think it's best that we consider how lana might be feeling, and understand her point of view, social media isn't everything & it shouldn't be, if her life will improve by distancing herself from it, she should absolutely do it, and i'm sure her friends, family, & her management are supportive of her decision, sales & promo are asinine when it's really think about the art itself, she's a millionare, and she'll always be successful
  11. i think you're mistaking him with lustforlife, i don't think your dealer was pretending to be an insider at all at any point
  12. adding on to this, we don't know how being present on social media could've affected her, i'm not surprised she wants to disconnect after all of the hate & criticism she received because of qftc, as well as people making comments about her appearence, anybody would've wanted to disconnect if they had thousands of comments calling them racist, a karen, a trump supporter, or saying they're ugly & fat, i really can't blame her, her own mental health & well-being is way more important than having proper promotion & sales, and you can promote your work in other ways besides posting on social media, i'm sure her team & her managers understand & support her decision
  13. yeah, i don't understand why people are comparing her with ariana grande, or kpop stars, they are more "entertainers" than they are artists who's career is simply based around creating the art, and also, ariana grande & blackpink are more famous and have more prescence in today's pop culture than lana does, being a superstar is a part of their brand & image, while lana's image is more about the art itself, either way, i don't really think lana needs social media, or hefty promo to succeed in her career, and honestly, ariana grande could stop posting on social media, and people would still listen to her music & look forward to upcoming releases, ariana grande took a hiatus from social media before the sweetener era and i would say it actually made people more intrigued!
  14. you must've dreamed this, there's two leaked versions of living legend, the second version isn't any different, except it has more piano
  15. i would like to believed they've been reworked, because some of them definitely don't sound mastered, and they're quite old
  16. i promise you all, that lana doesn't give a damn about promo, or having the best sales, and obviously her label doesn't care either if they're letting her delete her social media, she is a human-being before she is a buisness, there is nothing that gets in the way of that, she has no obligation to have social media whatsoever, and she's been in the industry for many years and has built her fanbase which is loyal & strong, she'll always have people who will buy her records & stream her music, she's already sold millions of copies of other albums, so it's not like she hasn't made millions for herself & her team, why should we care? she probably doesn't at all, and as long as she keeps releasing music, even if it's quiet surprise releases, or she does interviews/photoshoots, i'll be satisfied, if you're so bothered by her taking a more unconvential path in her career, maybe find another artist to pay attention to
  17. i can see the appeal of it, but i do think it's kinda gimmicky, i think regular "stereo" music is perfectly fine
