Fuck, she's so hot in that video.

I'm loving this record so much but if they were so insistent on having the EG.0 tracks I think they should've done double singles? Power / Hate Me Love I'm Given / Worry About Me Flux / Slow Grenade

Honestly, an album with Night Crawlin, Gimme What I Want, Bad Karma, Angels Like You, Plastic Hearts and WTF Do I Know would be amazing! Also hoping Never Be Me appears, I believe that was one of the Mark Ronson tracks that was mentioned around the time of She Is Coming but wasn't included on the leaked tracklist.

Honestly, the album cover will be better than we expect, look at the Norman album cover, she pulled through. She did that and the album trailer and the Fuck It music video, all in secret... She'll have something planned if she is launching this album as an era. However, she did state that this release would be a suprise and more low-key, obviously it's no longer a surprise (Beyonce style) since she told us September 4th/5th... But I interpret her meaning of surprise as it will just appear on streaming with no real promo etc. However, to counter act that, she's signed to a major label and therefore there will be some element of promo. A pre-order, album cover reveal. Probably a Beats 1 interview and an appearance on Annie Mac even just a week or two before release to play something from the album. I imagine we'll hear more from her about the album once the audio book version of Violet is released, I don't think her team would want to overwhelm fans and the GP with 2 projects at once... We know bundles existed so its possible that they have some sort of Violet / Chem bundle in the pipeline... Either way, I'm excited!

As somebody who enjoyed the EG.0 tracks, I'm kinda confused about this album... I love Brightest Blue as a body of work but honestly the EG.0 tracks don't stray too far from the sonic palette of the project and could've been incorporated to give the album a little more punch and a few more "hits". I dunno, I completely understand why she tacked them on the end as a side B project. But I think they work as part of the main album... 01. Start (ft. serpentwithfeet) 02. Power 03. How Deep Is Too Deep 04. Hate Me (ft. Juice WRLD) 05. Cyan 06. Love I'm Given 07. Worry About Me (ft. blackbear) 08. New Heights 09. Ode To Myself 10. Woman 11. Tides 12. Slow Grenade (ft. Lauv) 13. Wine Drunk 14. Bleach 15. Flux 16. Brightest Blue

So, apparently (and I say APPARENTLY), the album is called Love Me Land, the photo she teased, her in the theme park is from the album shoot. Love Me Land, Wow, Don't Worry Bout Me and All The Time are all on the album. Ruin My Life will appear as a bonus track on some form of deluxe edition. The album is also due for October, apparently.

Follow the fleet of blacked out cars Through the iron gates you'll find us 26 acres of diamonds and stars Baby girls lay pretty behind their golden visors Dreaming of riches, esaping normality As the bachelors play poker under rich disguises I begin to realise that this is not reality And we watch our lives pass us by Laying beneath the nuclear skies

Honestly, the album cover should've been textless, like Witness... I really love the shoot and direction, but the fonts and layout are not pleasant to look at. Also, I'm really enjoying Smile, but I'm a little concerned at how much it sounds like a PRISM song, considering that album was released 7 years ago. Like Never Really Over still felt like classic Katy whilst remaining new and fresh. I just hope she hasn't fallen into a trap of trying too hard to recreate the Teenage Dream / PRISM sound.

The whole bundle thing has me really confused... Why wouldn't they just put them up? Now we know Rough Trade are doing album/book bundles do we think it's likely that Lana's own store will do the same? I imagine the bundles may be something like this... Collector's Edition: Cream (or maybe orange) LP, CD, Cassette Tape, Book Analogue Edition: Black LP, CD, Cassette Tape Orange's Edition: Picture Disc LP and CD

Never Really Over is the hit, unfortunate but true. It's an amazing song and was a return to form for Katy following on from Witness that didn't get the response from fans and the GP they expected. Therefore they needed a hit to launch the new album. Harley's In Hawaii follows on from Never Really Over as another song about being in love (which seems to be a key theme of Smile). Plus fans loved it, there's also visual connections between the music video and the Never Really Over music video. Daisies, I guess is the official lead single and is a great one (visually it seems a bit random but hey ho). It was a nice reintroduction into the era and one of her better singes. Smile, is classic Katy Perry! The real Teenage Dream / PRISM sound that the GP expect and love from her. Realistically she should've came back with black hair and a pin up aesthetic and she would be smashing the charts (jokes). But I'm glad she remained blonde and is still out there with the visuals. I get your point about having the droplets included but it makes sense, you say it should be quality over quantity? I believe that's what she did. The album is only 37 minutes! Never Really Over and Harley's are some of her best songs in recent years and I'm glad they found a home. I'd of been disappointed if Small Talk and Never Worn White were crammed on to the standard album too! Plus Small Talk doesn't fit the theme of new love etc. They'll make nice bonus tracks. Your point about her music videos (in the Witness era) confused me... Katy has never had cohesive single visuals, rarely tying to the album theme. • California Gurls is the only video from Teenage Dream that clearly links to the album artwork with the whole candy land. • Teenage Dream was just fun and breezy. • Firework, well... was fireworks. • E.T. saw her in space with Kanye West. • Last Friday Night was a teenage spring break house party. • The One That Got Away again... random. • Roar, she was Jane of the jungle. • Unconditionally she was at some medieval ball. • Dark Horse was ancient Egypt themed. • Birthday was just birthday parties. Anyways the list goes on! To me her singles have always felt like individual eras with their own identities. And that's nothing new?

Here's an update on how the tracklist is allegedly shaping up

Do What U Want was actually filmed and set for release, obviously and rightfully it never saw light of day... Lana however (as much as I love her), just announces videos for the fun of it... Dark Paradise, Cola, Honeymoon (was filmed tbf), Cherry, Get Free... I doubt any those ever got to the stage of Do What U Want

Considering the success of Mood Ring, I'm surprised her team or the record label haven't attempted to upload some more bonus tracks and rarities to streaming. RCA have recently updated both Avril Lavigne's and Chris Brown's discography to have each album as an 'expanded edition' featuring the majority of deluxe and regional bonus tracks. I would quite like to see this happen on Britney's profile too. I'm actually really surprised her team haven't attempted to put together some sort of b-sides and rarities album... 01. Mood Ring 02. Don't Hang Up 03. Outta This World 04. Trouble 05. Over To You Now 06. Girls And Boys 07. Everybody 08. Mona Lisa 09. Quicksand 10. Rock Boy 11. Amnesia 12. The Answer 13. Scary 14. Get Back

Obviously with corona it can't physically happen right now, but I've been wondering about what a potential tour for this album would be like... Boyfriend 05. Rare 06. Me & The Rhythm 07. Kinda Crazy 08. Hands To Myself 09. Bad Liar 10. Lose You To Love Me 11. Vulnerable 12. Feel Me 13. Look At Her Now 14. A Sweeter Place 15. Good For You 16. I know it's not gonna happen but I'd love Thunder to be the opening track, going straight into track 2, the title track. A 7 minute dream rock opus about her glamorous lifestyle and how it doesn't save her from her feelings - the metaphor being there's still chemtrails over the country club, the rich can't hide.
