Lol I know I (and we) complain about how long it's taken for XCX3. But why was I surprised? Anybody else remember the lifetime it took for True Romance and all the 3 lead singles until a release Stay Away in 2011, You're The One in 2012 and You (Ha Ha Ha) in 2013 is legit just ATAP (2016), Boys (2017) and 1999 (2018) hahaha. Then SuperLove being the first single from Sucker, then Sucker delayed until October 2014 then December 2014 and then 2015 for us in the UK At least she's consistent in her album delays!
-
So if XCX3 is a thing... The only XCX World tracks I'd want are After The Afterparty, Boys (streams), No Angel, Girls Night Out and Come To My Party (and it's music video). Blame It On (Your Love) better be on the tracklist Not too many features (looking at you Pop 2), we want a Charli album KILLER ARTWORK
-
I mean it's likely. Maybe GNO wasn't ever planned to be released hence why there's no pink shoot? Maybe that's why she was so excited in the XCX World vid cos her label were releasing it and it got BIO's artwork instead cos it was ready to go. Ugh I'd really love for the album (I know we ain't getting one) to be called POP HELL I'm imagining an intro called Not All Angels Go To Heaven... Then have AG do a remix of ATAP feat Allie X for the closing track and call it After The Afterparty (AFTERLIFE Remix)
-
I mean is that not cos of her synaesthesia, Sucker was pink, so it makes sense none of these songs are pink? Also that means she originally didn't see GNO as orange...

TLIC isn't that bad, it's just very different and new for say Ariana. And Gwen was different, they were trying to recreate her sound from 10 years ago - him and Charli haven't worked together previously. Anyways was just a thought. I mean probably not - she said she was kinda done with monthly drops for now. It's likely that they were for White Mercedes, Blame It On Your Love and Party Party, since they were the songs she played at the Spotify event. One could even be for No Angel, maybe it was meant to be a solo drop at some point? They are probably just left overs from the shoot, she said she was done with monthly drops for now (since 1999). It's likely they were gonna be used for other singles but doubt we'll get them now. Orange was obviously meant to be for BIOYL so that means blue or white was either for Girls Night Out or one of the other songs she played to fans.

I mean a Redone collab in 2018/19? that's the real trash here. I just think Pharrell and Charli would be a good combo in the studio, she's very experimental and I feel like he is too - but his latest projects have been too mainstream (like Sweetener), so I'd be intrigued to see what they'd do... PS. CTMP is more of a Call Me Maybe than a Bad Romance I mean unless it's her 6 minute cover of Get Naked using autotune I don't wanna hear it... Danja is so 2007 and I can't see him working with Charli like he did Britney.
-
Ugh listening to Sweetener and I'd love her to work with Pharrell Williams... Charli doing a track like The Light Is Coming, she's be great!
-
Aye, I know the whole 2016 through to August leak drama. But why did she suggest that there was an album or project coming, when teasing 1999 as the first single from "something". To then dismiss the statement from Asylum saying her 3rd album was coming in 2019 and now she's saying she's back in studio, music is coming and that she'd like to collaborate with certain artists on her upcoming project? Again suggesting something bigger is coming... I just think she'd be better off confirming things, if there's an album in the works tell us - just make sure she says that a release date is yet to be confirmed etc. Or if an album/mixtape/EP isn't coming stop labelling 1999 as the lead single and stop mentioning the upcoming project. I am a fan of Charli but I can't help but think she brings some of this on herself... Like when she constantly teases or plays new and unreleased material at shows or on insta or at fan sessions, to then scrap it and get mad at fans for asking about it. Or when she complains that her album kept getting delayed because there wasn't a hit single and now there is a hit singles she seems unwilling to make an album - like she hasn't even entertained the idea since early 2017. Yeah mixtapes and EPs are great, but fans want an era, they want promo, performances, music videos, interviews, photoshoots etc. And I get her album was leaked, but that wasn't fans fault - hackers leaked her album, not us (I know we listened to it but like who wouldn't?). We've all supported her music and I just feel like she baited us with 1999 to get a hit, letting us think something bigger was coming when it doesn't seem to be. Also she confirmed a headline tour next year a few weeks back on Twitter, yet today in her Q&A she was saying how "she'd love to headline a tour" and "she hopes to tour next year" - more false hope for fans.
-
She just needs to confirm something
-
Ugh she's really annoying me now... Telling us 1999 is the lead single from something and teasing an upcoming project. Then she denies any album plans on Twitter. Then today she announces she's back in studio and would love to collaborate with Camila Cabello on her upcoming project. What is the truth Charli?

Not really true though? Lead single Video Games (October 2011), 2nd single Born To Die (December 2011), promo single Off To The Races (December 2011) then album Born To Die (January 2012) followed by 3rd single Blue Jeans (April 2012), 4th single Summertime Sadness (June 2012), 5th single National Anthem (July 2012) and final single Dark Paradise (March 2013). Open Road Tour 2012 Promo single Blue Velvet (September 2012), lead single Ride (September 2012) and then the album, Paradise (November 2012). Paradise Tour 2013 Lead single West Coast (April 2014), promo single Shades Of Cool (May 2014), 2nd single Ultraviolence (June 2014), 3rd single Brooklyn Baby (June 2014) and then the album Ultraviolence (June 2014) then 4th single Black Beauty (December 2014). Endless Summer Tour 2015 Lead single High By The Beach (August 2015), promo singles Terrence Loves You (August 2015) and Honeymoon (August 2015) then the 2nd single Music To Watch Boys To (September 2015) and then the album, Honeymoon (September 2015). Festival Tour 2016 Lead single Love (February 2017), 2nd single Lust For Life (April 2017), promo singles Coachella (May 2017), Groupie Love (July 2017) and 3rd single Summer Bummer (July 2017) and then the album, Lust For Life (July 2017). LA To The Moon Tour 2017 Lead single Mariners Apartment Complex and 2nd single Venice Bitch (September 2018)… Up until this record (even Lust For Life) her release strategy has been pretty mainstream and not that much different from other pop stars. -
Ugh I'd really love her to just drop the whole album at midnight alongside the WAP music video and start the era that way
-
She did! Her own headline tour! Get ready... to hear I Love It, Fancy, Boom Clap, Break The Rules, Boys, Dirty Sexy Money and 1999 live! Setlist confirmed: I Love It, Fancy, Boom Clap, Break The Rules, Vroom Vroom, Boys, Dirty Sexy Money, Girls, Out Of My Head, 5 In The Morning, Girls Night Out, 1999 and a couple of new songs that we'll never hear again
-
I mean she openly admitted many times during 2016-2017 how much she hated her label and that there was friction between them. 2016: Charli gets mad cos ATAP flopped and her label don't want to push her album. 2018: Charli gets mad cos 1999 is her biggest hit in 4 years and her label are considering pushing her album. Oh how the tables have turned.
-
For real though? I get that XCX World leaked and that was shit, but c'mon Charli. You tease all this new material that you never release and then get pissed when there's a demand for your music? Sucker era Charli would've been begging people to listen to her music, now you don't want us asking for more? I'm annoyed but... when the album does come in 2025 and nobody cares she's only got herself and her label to blame.
-
I think it was just saying that her 3rd album is due next year... An article released today announced that Asylum / Atlantic were planning a new album from her
-
One positive here, at least she killed all her own hype before we all really started expecting a new album next year.
-
Lol, everybody expecting new leaks on page 3000 Instead we find out BIOYL was cancelled and XCX3 is officially dead! Happy 3000+
-
Urgh, 1999 is her first hit since Doing It! Put out an album, I know it might not be her fault, but somebody somewhere is fucking up... If they don't put out an album after the success of this single then I fear we'll never get another album as such.

http://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/he-s-the-ideal-choice-to-take-asylum-into-the-future-ed-howard-upped-to-md/074575 Any way here's the important bit... "There are also plans for a new album from Charli XCX" following the success of 1999, a tour and album next year! 2019 is really gonna be her year!

I mean the album was still called NFR a few weeks back when she performed HTD so don't why you think it's been retitled? -
I can't deny that I'm disappointed that we got Girls Night Out instead of Blame It On Your Love... However I know Charli loves Girls Night Out and she was probably grateful that her label allowed her to put it out finally! Also is the songs official title Blame It On then? If so, she should change it. Maybe she delayed Blame It On cos they knew they were gonna push 1999 - it would make more sense to drop an old demo track that fans have and have heard for years before starting a new era / campaign. I really hope this mean Blame It On is coming soon! Just checked the website and its been changed to Girls Night Out... Charli you in here?
-
Did Lana get her tooth fixed? The chip seems to have gone... This is the only one Chuck is tagged - so ready for this to be the single cover!
-
I mean... I just don't think the 1999 music video is that good - like I get she was on a budget. I think SuperLove, the Sucker era videos and ATAP are better
