Not gonna happen... but we'll see. -
I honestly hope that Taxi, HBHG, Up & Down and R&R leak just so we can move on.
-
Exactly! CTMP would receive exactly the same treatment and therefore is a pointless release when there's the chance of new music.

Now is the time to appreciate that she's managed to announce and release 2 singles without any leaks! Love leaked before its release and BAR leaked just after. -
Let's be honest though, if she dropped CTMP, it wouldn't have any impact at all... It would the same if not less success than GNO and No Angel. Look at Focus / No Angel both sound very current and one was a new track. Neither had any sort of impact at all! So an old song, that leaked over a year ago, that sounds straight out of 2015 is unlikely to be the smash.

Anyways I love that snippet of VB and I knew it wouldn't be an up-tempo aha. This is already my favourite Lana era, I feel it's gonna be a great album. -

I think the label gave up on radio friendly after BTD and then retried it for LFL and didn't get much success, like I've said before I think there's some acceptance that she's an album artist. -

It's been getting great reviews from the critics and she might just wanna have it out there for a little, and let the fans enjoy it as it's own song before she drops the next. Just a thought. -

But we have a press release from her label confirming 2 new songs will be dropped this month from the upcoming album and also Lana herself said we'd have 2 end of summer jams this week. -
Listened to Caught In The Middle and Need Ur Luv earlier and damn, I miss non-autotuned Charli Love that everybody is asking her to take a break and look after her voice, but you all know damn well you wouldn't let her rest, she dropped 2 albums worth of music last year and more songs than most major popstars this year and you's still beg for more. Imagine the harassment for new music ahahahahaha.

I'd be up for an EP, I think it would be nice if it's true these songs aren't intended for the album (as many keep saying), but I believe they are. I also wont be mad if Venice Bitch is delayed to allow MAC some time to shine... We know it's coming and she confirmed 2 songs so let's just be patient. I would hate the album to be called "Death by Naivety" (Obviously fake) but anything grim, sad or death related would feel like a step back at this point. But I'm still her for it being self titled. -

The more I think of it, it's unlikely that the album will be self titled. Imaginer her album/EP discography... 2011 - Lana Del Rey 2012 - Born To Die 2012 - Paradise 2014 - Ultraviolence 2015 - Honeymoon 2017 - Lust For Life 2019 - Lana Del Rey Unless she's going full circle and announces retirement as Lana Del Rey after this album -

This though! I think we need a BTD/Paradise merch appreciation post... The box set, the 7" picture disc singles, the RSD releases, the remix EP CD's/12"s, the CD singles... Urgh what an era! I think she tried to bring it back with LFL, like the signed merch and the Love/LFL heartshaped vinyl etc. Here's to not expecting any merch, lithos, cassettes, box sets at all this era, cos it's all about the music and not the money. -

I mean I think it would be good in this instance where Lana is almost rebranding her entire image. This era feels like a shift from her previous releases so I think it could work effectively... But I also agree with your statement, Britney and Britney Jean come to mind hahaha. -

I don't think the visuals have been that bad... Like BTD / Paradise era were epic films and they fit the theme of the music, the sweeping strings, the exaggerated lyrics... It was all old Hollywood glamour at it's finest. Ultraviolence was a complete switch up with the laid back, black and white visuals, but again it was in keeping with the music, it was less dramatic and more raw. Honeymoon continued but took away the black and white replaced it with pastels and glamour shots, a hybrid of what we'd seen previously but everything felt and looked more dreamy and hazy. LFL I think brought back the high budget music videos, both Love and LFL had great visuals, obviously the album changed direction and the futuristic vibes were a little out of touch with the music. But in terms of a cohesive theme running, the visuals were great. MAC is her weakest visual, but that's most likely because it isn't supposed to be a single with a music video. It's just a track she dropped and repurposed old footage for a fan visual. The Barrie and Lana thread but I agree, the analysis for MAC is great and the fact he lives in Venice Beach and her new single is Venice Bitch... -
My mind is blown ahaha. I loved the analysis of MAC and how that relates to Barrie. But this was interesting to me, Venice Bitch? And he has an apartment at Venice Beach. I think she was at her happiest and her worst when with him, so it's conflicting but I wouldn't be mad if they reconciled.
-
I mean I think she did top UV both vocally and lyrically with Honeymoon. She managed to create an atmosphere and it is her most concise record to date. I do love Ultraviolence and how that shift from Born To Die allowed her to be less "pop" but personally I think her best work is Honeymoon. Let's hope LDR6 is her new peak.

Not gonna happen, hope all the fans down under know the lyrics to Boom Clap, Fancy, I Love It and Break The Rules Sucker was a great era for her... I really enjoy the record, it's packed with personality (even if it's not who she is now) and I remember it being marketed as her debut album in some countries, so to have 2 top 10 hits in the UK and a couple in the US is not bad. It's strange because if it hadn't been a success she'd probably have been dropped by her label... but then the success of that era meant that everything she did afterwards was expected to live up to it, hence why XCX3 got scrapped. Even the Sucker outtakes were amazing! I agree that SuperLove is amazing and I wish it was on the album but all in all, a great time to be a Charli fan.

I'm not getting too hyped about VB being upbeat etc. I'm preparing for a moody but breezy track (like Brooklyn Baby) about independence and being the queen of the coast or something. -
Forget 1999 and Taxi, let's just get Super Ultra on Apple Music / iTunes / Spotify / Tidal

I hope the resurrection of Lizzy Grant means A.K.A. will finally be released (even just digitally). I just want to have a HQ final album on my iTunes / Spotify
