I had a dream that the preorder dropped for NFR and damn I was disappointed when I woke up In my dream though the album cover had lots of reds and ambers and Lana was with some man in the artwork so...

Not gonna lie I just 1999 to make top 40 at this point, then hopefully they'll launch the album / project she's been working on. I just want pop from Charli, a little bit of PC here and there but right now I want something mainstream and radio friendly.

As much as I enjoy XCX World, it was blessing in disguise that she didn't release that album... it would've bombed sales and charts wise. And we wouldn't have gotten a second single (probably GNO) til 2017, which means the whole of last year would've been dedicated to probably festivals, shows and a few singles / music videos for fans. Instead we got N1A and Pop 2, both of which are better than the original album imo, the whole XCX World album (unofficially) and now the monthly drops as well as loads of collabs... which might not have happened as frequently whilst she was in an album cycle. And say we had've got XCX World as she intended we'd be right where we are now waiting for a new album cycle to launch.

Yeah it sucks but surely her and her label are aware of the interest for say R&R? And it would be easier to just drop it online for fans. But then with some fans it would never stop. She's in a seriously messed up cycle.

At this point she might aswell just drop a soundcloud mixtape of unreleased tracks she doesn't intend on using... She's aware of the leaks and the demand, so why not take away the power from the leakers and just release them for download only. Like I don't really care for the unreleased PC stuff (other than Party 4 U)… I wouldn't mind BIOYL but she's probably gonna release it.

Yeah she only started the drops in May, and has only missed August (with 1999 presumably being September's) and I wouldn't consider them throw away tracks, 5ITM was on trend, Focus was great and NA and GNO were songs fans had begged for. Sucker and True Romance did show that she hates sitting on music, correct. But, it also gave us what people here seem to want, singles, music videos, live performances and promo. Maybe I phrased myself incorrectly, but in her latest interviews she shows no care about her voice (and PC / autotuned effects are only gonna get her so far) - and prior to that she's shown no interest in releasing an album. Even saying she doesn't think albums are for her. And I agree that projects like Pop 2 and singles like GNO were dropped because she wanted to release them, but there is constant demand from her fans. She's even been getting grief for missing the August drop. My original point was that I personally think she should take a break and refresh her sound / image. Allow fans to have a break and enjoy the music she's released (eventually they might stop begging for Taxi). And they're more likely to appreciate the new material she releases, rather than be like "oh okay, what's next?".

I'm aware... But like others have noticed in her recent interviews she doesn't seem to care anymore. She's just churning out music like a machine and she can't meet the demand of her fans. Like she was dropping a song every month (that wasn't enough), she released NA and GNO for the fans (that wasn't enough they want Taxi and CTMP now), she dropped N1A and Pop 2 last year (that's not enough, where's the album?)… She didn't release a song in August (where's BIOYL and 1999?) We've had so much more music over the last 2 years than we would've had if XCX3 had've been released. All I'm saying is that she's been dropping music non-stop since the sucker era. Whether it be singles, EPs, mixtapes or collabs and she still can't catch a break... I think if she starts the monthly drops again and then launches an album in 2019 it'll be damaging to her career in the long run. She should take a break, keep recording and doing what she loves but if she stops trying to please the fans then they'll be less entitled. Constantly demanding stuff from her cos they'll be used to not having her drop new music all the time.

She has been non stop (compared to other artists)... we ended Sucker in 2015... 2016 she dropped Vroom Vroom and then After The Afterparty and collabs, 2017 gave us 2 mixtapes, Boys and a bunch of collabs and then 2018 gave us like another 13 tracks.

I think at this point she should announce 1999 get a little bit of hype and then release song / video and then take a break. It's the only way she's gonna be able to move on with her career... She became to consistent in dropping tracks and now she can't or isn't allowed to live up to that demand from fans. Like she has dropped 11 songs (solo, remixes and collabs) so far this year and Bricks and 1999 are confirmed to also be released. But for some reason that doesn't seem to be enough. She shouldn't release anymore XCX3 tracks otherwise she'll never be able to move on... just leave them unreleased or if they leak it's a bonus. But as fans, we need to do more. Like I have seen so many people ask for songs to be leaked, asking for download links when the tracks are on Spotify / Apple / iTunes. And then of course leaking material she intends to release. Imagine the hype for 1999 now, if the demo hadn't been leaked in full. We've heard it and it's so annoying. So yeah, drop your last solo single Charli... take a year out and reinvent what you're doing. Take the time to make an album with the label and get out of that contract (if that's what she wants)

Not really though... She did promo for Boys, online, the viral video, she was even on breakfast shows in the UK talking about the song and it just made top 40.

I think she had intentions of more videos, when Focus / NA was released she was replying to fans comments on insta when they were talking about the video... I remember her saying she was noting ideas. But then look at the 5ITM video views It's like you all want these leaked songs officially released but then you see the streams and sales of NA and GNO... and you want her to release music videos for every song but then the views are awfully low. Like it's no wonder the label don't fund it.

I agree that BAR should've been on the album, but personally I don't think White Mustang should've been removed (it's one of my highlights)… Maybe In My Feelings or Coachella
