Off To The Races is a vital part of her discography, like it is the most "Lana Del Rey character" song we've ever gotten from her

I don't think there ever was an original UV, I think she began making the album and recorded songs like Black Beauty, Hollywood, AFFA etc. All which I assume were going to be part of an album up until they leaked. Even after the leak she said that she was still gonna put them on the album and see what happens. She said that UV was finished and that she booked a studio session with Dan last minute and then recorded two songs Cruel World and PWYC. These songs changed her vision for the albums sound and so she worked with Dan and re-recorded the original album, hence why the UV version of Black Beauty is different and why she said that Hollywood leaked with the wrong production (Dan must've reworked it in these sessions and it was cut from the final tracklist). Also why the original mix of West Coast was released as a radio mix cos the production was different. I think it was also at this point of working with Dan, that her vision for the album art had changed, hence the change in artwork? I personally love the alternate "hipster" pressing of UV, however the Honeymoon UO exclusive was a let down

I listened to Honeymoon backwards and damn, she wasn't lying when she said the album begins and ends with HM, such an interesting way to interpret the story hearing it in reverse

Yeah I wouldn't want her to collab with any of the LFL features on this one (other than A$AP), but she does seem to have collaborated much more since LFL, The Weeknd, Borns, Cat Power etc. So I'm definitely expecting at least one. But I do love all her solo albums when it's just her

That would be something aha, if there is any I'm expecting iconic (like Stevie) or really obscure new artists

I'm sure the original UV album cover was the one with lighter used on the Billboards and then the shot by Neil with Lana holding a rose was supposedly the original HM cover...

UV and LFL both charted higher, but I don't think any of her other releases has outsold BTD... I know it's her most successful but in my opinion it isn't her best (that's what I meant by topped it)

I think that would be too similar to Anne Marie? Didn't she dress as Britney from baby or oops in the 2002 video? I think its likely that it'll just be Charli at a house party Maybe with her friends, karaoke (singing some of the artists she references), playing guitar hero or something, like who actually knows aha

I just want her to achieve some chart success so that her label will have some faith and push an album (eventually getting her out of this awful contract), otherwise I couldn't care less about charts... I'm a Lana fan after all

I'd have loved YCBTB to be on the album... I think in between MDM and SS would've been a good slot, to kinda pick up the pace towards the end

I completely agree but like she also doesn't promote herself... Like she legit just shows up on the day and posts the single art to her socials and is like "out now Angels"...

I remember people saying that it was ironic that BTD was gonna be called "The Best Of" cos it's her best selling album They clearly didn't listen to anything that followed and topped BTD

I know Boys was more of an internet/viral "thing" but didn't Afterparty chart higher than Boys? sure Afterparty was like 28/29 and Boys was like 31... either way it doesnt really matter but it would be nice if 1999 made top 30 / 40 just so her team can see that she still has chart potential and deserves promo

She might have more of a chance of some (chart) success if she perhaps teases it, does a countdown, hints at the feature etc. Rather than on the day being like "hey angels, 1999 is on Spotify now" Also when is the BBC documentary??

I always thought it was The Revenge of Lana Del Rey? No? I thought the original titles for BTD were, The Revenge of Lana Del Rey, The Best of Lana Del Rey and God Bless America

Now would be a good time for her to at least announce 1999 is coming or even announce a collab with Troye to get some hype for the release
