  1. Happy 2nd birthday to Norman Fucking Rockwell!! What an incredible, iconic album. This album was released during the undoubtedly most difficult point of my life and it helped me through so much, even if that means it makes it hard to listen back to sometimes. I'm so happy I had this album to guide me through the darkest days, all the way out to the other side - just in time for her next one. This album birthed her best song, Hope is a Dangerous Thing, as well as so many other masterpieces such as The Greatest, California, Venice Bitch, Cinnamon Girl, etc. I think this album displays some of her best lyricism and is truly revolutionary. It deserved all of its acclaim it received, and was even deserving of more. A stunning work of art that will live on through history x

  5. Reviving this thread for the first time in 8 years!! Wow!! Angus & Julia Stone released a new album together titled 'Life is Strange' last week which is set to be the soundtrack for the Life is Strange video game. I've only given it a few listens so far, but I really love it! It's reminiscent of their past works, which I adore. This was a totally out of the blue surprise announced just a few days before it was released, as it sounded like they weren't planning on doing another joint album any time soon and rather just focusing on solo projects. Even their 2017 record was somewhat unexpected, as they claimed to have disbanded the group after their 2014 record. I'm so happy they created another record together - I love them separately, but I love them even better together! My favourite song from the new album so far is 'Living Underground' which I'll link below. I'm surprised there hasn't been much discussion about them here. They're a great brother-sister indie/folk duo from Australia. They're also managed by Lana's managers Ben & Ed as well! I actually discovered that fact in 2017 after I had already been a fan for a couple of years before and was really surprised lol. For anyone unfamiliar with them, here's some of my favourite songs:
  6. We already have Bebe! "bebe" I thought that we already had that gif of Oprah too, but I guess not! I'll go ahead and add that one too x EDIT: here u go! "oprah4"
  7. Your wish is my command! - "true" I've also added "silly" since we're all feeling a bit silly lately x If anyone has any other requests, feel free to leave them in the Smiley Requests thread! x EDIT: I've also added "oprah4"

    Kesha

I actually saw Kesha in concert on Thursday which was amazing. It was my first concert since COVID which I was pretty nervous about, but Kesha's requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for entry and the venue did a super great job at enforcing everything. I felt super safe and I'm so glad I went. It was also the perfect show to see as a "welcome back" to the concert world. I went with two friends and we were at the front of the GA line since it was a last minute decision to go and all the early entries were sold out, but I lucked out because one of my friends started working at the venue recently and hooked me up with a free early entry pass. There was a girl there whose friend bailed last minute, so she had an extra early entry pass that was already paid for, so my friend who worked there introduced us and she gave me the pass! I was able to save a spot on barricade for my two other friends who were with me as well, so it worked out perfectly. + I made a new friend! Also, I knew that Kesha requests the audience to give her their clothes during Take it Off, so I came prepared. My friend had abandoned a broken bra at my place a little bit ago, so I asked her if I could throw it at Kesha lol. & it worked! Kesha swung it around on stage and it was iconic. Here's a clip of that moment - Anyway, I definitely recommend everyone to see her if you have the chance. Her show was so much fun. My knees still hurt from jumping the entire show! She really is such a pure soul too and kept thanking the crowd for being there for her and showed us so much love. I'm so, so happy I went x
  9. October 12th is my birthday too!! Twins!! Yes, let's manifest an Oct 15th release date for us
  10. See, I'm a collector and picture discs are my favourite to collect because they're just so pretty and unique, so I want 'em all! Imagine a selfie as a picture disc too.. ground breaking. Or a 7in single picture disc for Arcadia where the B-side is an actual Map of LA. I wish she did more 7in discs for singles! x
  11. I would love for Lana to do a fun vinyl design like a splatter! But imagine a picture disc with the Tex & Mex photo..... delicious x
  12. Just moved all off-topic posts relating to the drama, who Lana is on LB, and the possible leak (which is most likely fake, but on the off chance it actually is real and is the track it claims, shouldn't be discussed here anyway as it is still possible it could be on the album) out of this thread so we can focus on important Blue Banisters discussion! Let's get to it ladies! When do we all think is a likely release period? I feel like October could be likely, and tbh I'm sort of hoping it is because that's my birth month Libras deserve! October has always brought us great Lana material. October 2012 brought us the Ride video, October 2014 brought us her Galore magazine shoot aka her greatest shoot, October 2017 brought us her first solo NYC shows in 5 years, October 2018 brought us snippets Lana shared of How to Disappear, Cinnamon Girl, and Happiness is a Butterfly, and October 2020 brought us, well.. the Violet signing, but anyway, October is LANA'S MONTH!! Let's get ready!! x
  13. please. It's too early for drama! So anyway. What colour vinyl are you all hoping BB will be? I'm thinking blue is obviously expected, but I'm still holding out for a baby pink LDR vinyl to finally come to light xx
  14. Before you tag me claiming “fake news” please be aware that as the owner and admin, I am able to see IP addresses that show me exactly where in the world people are accessing the site from, so just consider that for a moment. That aside, to everyone else, let’s stop the bickering please! I’ve just woken up so I don’t know exactly what’s happening, but let’s try to move back to relevant and productive conversation relating to Blue Banisters. I’ll be moving all the drama posts out of this thread in a bit, but for now, let’s get back on topic! Blue Banisters, exciting news! x
  15. I would assume a variety, but she's been seen holding packs of Camels & Parliaments most often I would say -

  18. Last night, Lana Del Rey was spotted by a fan while dining out at Le Petit Four in West Hollywood, California
  19. Okay wow, now that I've had time to process this, I just want to say how incredible this is. In my opinion, Hope is her best song. I know some people may disagree me with there, but aside from the song displaying her best lyricism, her vocal delivery is perfect, and the simple piano really highlights what she is trying to say. I think any extra production would've taken away from the feeling and meaning of the song. It's a masterpiece, and LDR in her purest, rawest form. The song is so intimate, and this really is the perfect video for it. Rather than having an overproduced professional video, just having a visit with Lana at home through the lens of her iPhone couldn't capture the intimacy of Hope any better. This is truly amazing. So brilliant. I'm so happy she shared this with us. What a treasure x
  20. Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Take me to the park Buy me a hot dog Kiss me in the dark -Jimmy Gnecco (I'm sure this actually has no hidden meaning though) x
  21. We actually hear a little bit of that conversation on the vinyl version of Hope! "Cause I had you in my head. Are you real? Are you real? Yeah? Is there any chance that I'm just gonna wake up on the floor and this song won't exist? I would be very sad. If I wake up and you don't exist and this song doesn't exist. Yeah. I hope you're real."
