Okay wait… uh.. this might be a scam?? The dress they have pictured does NOT appear to be the one Lana wore. This is a picture of the dress that was sold in the pop-up shop. It was also signed for the fan who originally bought it, which is not noted in that auction description - Now look at the picture of Lana wearing it and the one the auction house has listed, specifically on the right side. The photos of Lana wearing the dress and the photo from the pop-up show that the right side of the dress is yellow and green. The one from the auction house shows mostly purple? And the inner collar of the original is yellow and pink where the one from the auction house shows pink and red. Then look at the front pleats. The pictures of the dress from the pop-up shop and on Lana show a green panel, a panel of purple and red, and then a purple panel. The picture of the dress from the auction house shows a red pink and yellow panel, a green panel, and then a blue and purple. Also if you look at the big red spot on the left edge right above where the seam meets, you see a white dot right on the left edge in the auction house picture. On the pop-up and LDR picture, that dot veers more towards the right. The placement of the red&pink patches above it also look different. & again, they did not note that the dress was signed, which the original is, and I feel like that’s an important detail to note. I’m going to contact the auction house about the authenticity of the dress so no one is cheated lol there’s a possibility they maybe used a stock photo of the dress or the way it’s pleated makes it appear different in that photo, but… something seems off x Pop up pic on left, LDR pic in center, Auction house pic on right: Edit: one more discrepancy I noticed is that Lana altered the sleeves to be smaller/less drape-y (she commonly alters a lot of her stage wear) If you look at this photo of her wearing the dress with her arms raised, you can see that the sleeves don’t drape as they originally do. You can look at my photo wearing the dress a few posts above to see how the sleeves originally fall. When looking at the auction house photo, the sleeves look to be unaltered as you can see the extra length draping at the sides. Lana has them shortened, which is more evident in the popup picture -

Off the top of my head, here are some of the other clothes she sold there (images in spoiler) Mostly performance outfits, but some from photoshoots and seen in street candids too - I actually have all of these dresses (not the coats though) in my collection too except for the Red Rocks & Corona Capital ones (I’ve been trying to track down those for yearsssss but those are actually vintage dresses, so they’ve been harder to find) but again, not the ones actually worn by Lana, just other makes of it. I can’t believe I wasn’t at that pop-up to actually buy one of the originals… only in my dreams. She also sold a bunch of other pieces from her wardrobe that she was never photographed in, but they were other gorgeous dresses and such. She also sold the dress she wore in Montreal in 2014 for a charity auction a few months after the performance - This dress is actually the very first Lana clothing item I added to my collection in 2015. Once again, not the exact one worn by her, but another one. It’s vintage Gunne Sax and I bought it for a reeeeally great deal back then, I believe around $150. That dress now sells for $500+ as vintage Gunne Sax dresses have continued to rise in popularity. Lana’s also given some of her dresses to her friends and sister too -

Already is (funny fact about this picture, I literally wore this dress that night to a girl’s night out at Chili’s LMAOOO I simply love being overdressed everywhere I go! I also remember my friend asking the waiter if they had espresso martinis only for the waiter to give her a blank stare and be like “ma’am this is a Chili’s” skfnsk the gag is they actually recently added espresso martinis to their menu. Her voice was heard! This pic was also taken in January 2020, two months before the world shut down and forever changed as we knew it. What a surreal time xx) Truly though, I would absolutely love to own a piece actually worn by Lana one day, to add to my collection of ~150 as seen on outfits that I own. However, I just can’t justify spending $1000 on it, especially on a H&M dress I already own that I’m sure I spent less than $100 on One day hopefully though!! I’ll forever regret not flying out to that LFL popup and snagging a dress.. she needs to do that again xx

She’s submitted her next album! Prolific queen I’m a little bummed that she didn’t tour for Orquídeas as I think the concept could’ve been really cool to bring to life onstage and I’ve been itching to hear some of those songs live, but perhaps she’ll do sort of a combined tour with the upcoming album x

Ironically enough, that fan lives in Louisiana which is where the assumed location stemmed from, but based on the clothes and jewelry she’s wearing in both photos it does appear to be from that day. The photo was posted by the fan a few hours ago in a “photo dump” carousel, so further information was unknown. I was thinking it might be older though due to how light her hair looks compared to what it was the last time we saw her. I’ve moved the posts into the existing thread! x

I love their work together, and their versions of I Want it All still outsell imo xx I believe this bit is referring to Sugababes, which is an English pop girl group that was popular in the 2000s, sort of similar to Girls Aloud. They were probably working towards a song reminiscent of the group’s sonic style, which was very much of that 2000s dance pop / R&B sound x

I’ll be honest, I don’t love the snippet of the single. I think the high-pitched vocal part is throwing me off, but her normal operatic vocals in it sound gorg as always. However, you can only tell so much from a short snippet, so I’m still looking forward to the song as well as the album as a whole! I trust that she knows what she’s doing and know that regardless of what the singles look like, that there will be songs on the album that I’ll love as she’s my second favourite artist behind Lana mostly due to her writing and unique creativity. I’ll also say just in general with any artist’s album, I tend to favour the album tracks rather than the singles. I did actually really love all of Ancient Dreams’ singles though, but with Froot & L+F there were only a couple singles from each that I really loved, and then favoured more of the deeper album cuts. Overall, this is my ranking of her albums so I’m interested to see where this new one will fall: Electra Heart Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land The Family Jewels Froot Love + Fear

So I found myself in Greenville again earlier this week (I have a friend there so I visit every now and then since it’s only a 2.5 hour drive from Atlanta) so we decided to check out Jianna! We went on Tuesday night and it was a really nice day there as it was a high of 80F so by dinner time it was still in the 70s (it’s hot even for February!) so it was packed, the balcony where Lana had eaten was completely full and even inside there were sooo many people, I guess everyone was taking advantage of the nice day and wanted to get out. But omfg it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my LIFE. It was so delicious - I started w the Potato Gnocchi (minus the bacon to make it vegetarian) and ahhhh I could’ve eaten a bucket of that. I always love gnocchi, but this may have been the best rendition I’ve ever had. The gnocchi were so light and fluffy and the sauce was also light but absolutely packed with flavour. So. Good. Then for the entree I had their famous Spaghetti TBG (tomato, basil, garlic) and it was just as delicious. They hand-make their pasta in house daily, and you could tell. It was cooked to perfection. I could eat that every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. I mentioned this to the waitress and she was like “we have a cookbook and both of the dishes you ordered are in it” so I bought the cookbook LOOOL. It’s massive and was also signed by the chef which was nice! I’m excited to try out some of the other recipes and remake the ones I ordered - I actually do really enjoy cooking so this will be fun! The staff was also lovely, I had to walk to the bathroom twice to take out and put back in my Invisalign trays before and after dining, and both times a waiter complimented my outfit (I was wearing the white Zimmermann dress Lana wore like 6 times on tour in 2023, it really is gorgeous) but it made me smile! I also mentioned to the waitress that I chose to dine there because of Lana’s visit, and she told me she was working the night she was there and that she was suuuuper kind to everyone. They didn’t even recognise it was her at first because she arrived in a hoodie sort of incognito, but some girls spotted her out on the balcony and started screaming lmaooo then word traveled. They also played Say Yes to Heaven at one point early on during my dining! Anyway, if you’re ever in the area, I would highly hiiiighly recommend stopping by if you like modern Italian food. The gnocchi is a MUST and I would also recommend one of the pastas since they’re handmade. I loved the one I had and it’s their bestseller. Soooo delicious, 5/5 stars, and I can’t wait to go back during my next visit to Greenville! Chaparelle’s new song Devil’s Music released at midnight! When I saw them in October, this is the song they opened their set with and I really liked it and figured it would probably serve as a single. It was a great song to open the set and a good one for the new year too. I actually think this could be a fun song to open the album with and have it serve as the title track. However, I am a little disappointed that the studio version is only two minutes! When they performed it live, they repeated each verse* twice and added more instrumental breaks, I suppose just to lengthen it to the standard ~3:30 time. I guess you could play the song twice though to give it more of a full-body feel * - This song doesn’t have a typical song structure like VCVCBC, it’s sort of just three separate parts and then an outro. Perhaps it’s meant to be VCVO, but it’s a little hard to call it that since the “verses” are sonically/stylistic different from each other and the “chorus” doesn’t repeat.. it’s interesting, but I like it! x

Her vocals are STUNNING!! Just like in Stargirl, Lana didn't hold back in reaching those hypnotic, super high notes that she executes so well. I loveeee this sound from her, and he seems to bring it out in her on his projects. Would luvvv more of this sound on her own projects, but this is a tasty lil treat for now x I also made a lyric thread for the song if anyone would like to read, do an analysis, or make correction suggestions:

When I’m the true insider all along

I have vvvvery vivid dreams, and I usually always remember them very well! I typically sleep for like 12 hours too, so plenty of time for them to conjure up. Sometimes I can even remember what seems like the entirety of the dream, every detail from start to fin, and it does feel like I had just watched a long movie or something lol. I keep a dream journal to look back upon to see if I can notice any themes/patterns, or see if any of my dreams manifested into reality.. and I've had loads of instances of that happening, even with Lana dreams

I had a dream the other night that an ~insider~ came onto the boards to share that Lana and Quavo had been working on a joint album titled "Call Me?" before it was ultimately scrapped. They had 7 songs finished before the project was abandoned to focus on their solo projects. The insider leaked what was intended to be the lead single from the record, but they leaked it without a title so there was a debate on whether the song was called "Gold and Grey" or "Golden Grey" - it sounded like a mix between Come With Me and Groupie Love. It had sort of that rising/soaring sonic sound and brought back some orchestral string instruments. Lana was singing mostly in her higher register and Quavo's part was during the bridge as Lana did some harmonies. That's all I can remember about the song, but it was really pretty xx

Another person on the boards that I follow on Instagram posted about them on their story yesterday, and that was how I found out XYLØ/Paige was still making music under another project I literally just unfollowed her on instagram earlier this month because I though she quit music and went MIA or something loool. I'm excited to listen to the new project! Unamerican Beauty is still one of my favourite records, so I'm looking forward to what's to come with Sunday (1994) I listened to Tired Boy last night and loved it, so I'll listen to the whole EP this weekend! x

Lana Del Rey has declined to be featured in upcoming documentary 'Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music' following the director's request. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Oscar-winning filmmaker Questlove, the director of the upcoming Saturday Night Live [SNL] music documentary 'Ladies & Gentlemen...50 Years of SNL Music', stated that he reached out to Lana Del Rey in hopes to have her be featured in the documentary to discuss the negative critisim received for her performance on SNL in 2012. He said, "I wanted to reach out to anyone that’s ever caught bullets for a performance, and so instantly I reached out to both Lana Del Rey and to Ashlee Simpson. Both, understandably, not knowing what kind of storyteller I am, declined, and I get it. 'This is something I want to put behind me. I don’t want to be known as the person that messed up on SNL.' I think if I just pressed harder and gave them the 'my aim is true' standpoint, maybe I could have pushed a little further, but I understood." Lana Del Rey recently alluded to her infamous SNL performance through her Coachella billboard which stated "Has Anyone Else Died For You?" with an image of a cross alongside the text "Lana Del Rey SNL Jan 14 2012" printed on the lower right corner. The documentary is set to premiere on Monday, January 27th at 8/7c on NBC, and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
