not necessarily, but people who have a history of domestic violence COULD potentially be triggered. but i now understand how it can be seen as a harmful song. however, i still think those assuming it's going to influence EVERYONE to physically assault others is wrong.

you're implying that "normalizing an turning it into entertainment" will completely remove the severity of what domestic violence truly is!! sensible people (which is the majority of people) aren't going to forget about the trauma it does, or dismiss cases of domestic violence just because they hear/see it being appropriated by external outlets!!

honestly, i really hate jessica lange's voice when she sings. i cannot take her seriously at all. and i'm so over her singing. ryan murphy has to stop mixing glee and AHS together. (i understand that singing is part of elsa's story, but still) this season seems really.. boring and reductive to me.. the only thing that got me excited (not like ) and kept interested was the clown. (although more half naked scenes of dandy would help) i'm going to continue watching and hope that this mess gets better, though. (i've invested too much time on this show to give up now )

young children (people in general) are already exposed to culture, media, video games, and etc that can be seen as potentially detrimental to their growth, but at the end of the day, those individuals are the ones who ultimately decide whether or not the aforementioned factors will impact them. for example, if a young person were to hear this verse or anything similar, i sincerely doubt it would influence, implying they even have the capacity to understand him, them at all because it's just common sense, implying they're of age to have one, that hitting people is bad. i didn't think of how this could be a encouraging trigger to those already prone of domestic violence, so thank you for that. and you're right, this shitty song is impacting culture. i mean, look at us right now. people here are discussing it's possible effects, or just completely shutting out and ending all discussion because they're so fixed on their position that they aren't even open to listening and having a progressive conversation.

Talking (or in his case, rapping) about an incident of domestic violence does not trivialize it. How it can even be trivialized when EVERYONE (well, hopefully..) knows it’s a horrible event?

i honestly don't understand how this promotes domestic violence against women. it's not like someone's going to hear this shitty rap verse and be like, "OH. HE RAPPED ABOUT HITTING WOMEN, THEREFORE I MUST TOO." edit: eminem WAS a good rapper. his last 2 albums were disappointments, tbh.

I don't think this is her best album lyrically or sonically, but it does have some catchy songs. (i.e flags. half-hero) The title track is amazing, too.

*here's my late, redundant album review b/c i forgot about this thread* (shun me) how i feel about her albums: little machines = siberia > the listening my brothers girlfriend got me listening to lights back when i was in 7th grade????? (she made me listen to toes and i loved it :') ) lyrically, i don't think LM beats siberia or the listening, but all the songs are still very catchy. sonically, i love where she's at now. however, there are some times when i feel like some of the songs are kinda over-produced. (meteorites and same sea tbh) fav songs off LM: from all sides (THE ACOUSTIC RENDITION OF THIS SONG IS GOING TO SLAY), don't go home without me, muscle memory, portal, speeding, how we do it, and oil and water (srry it's hard to choose fav's) least fav song: SAME SEA (it's great until the chorus starts.. #mess) anyway, i love her and i'm so glad she released a new album.
