At times the guitar in Money Power Glory reminds me of TLC's Red Light Special and I love it.

Life is awesome, I confess - Responding to Lorde's criticism of portraying a glamorous lifestyle that no can relate to. She passed the test of public scrutiny, while Lorde didn't because she was immediately successful. Why portray some kind of romance in a diss track? So we turn to Gaga, who likely fucked her boyfriend based on "So Legit"...but the rest of the equation doesn't match up. I think this part is mocking Lorde's particular gripe with "Without You": "She’s great, but I listened to that Lana Del Rey record and the whole time I was just thinking it’s so unhealthy for young girls to be listening to, you know: “I’m nothing without you.” This sort of shirt-tugging, desperate, don’t leave me stuff. That’s not a good thing for young girls, even young people, to hear." This line portrays exactly that desperation that Lorde was complaining about.       So is it a good look for Lana? No. But this shit is about Lorde let's begin facing that.

But anyway I hope Flipside is just as happy and fun sounding as Florida Kilos.... I'd be so happy. We already have enough slow songs on the album. A bonus new-era Lana(Lizzy) track would be great.

Also the "Life is awesome/I confess" makes me think of Lorde's comment about how Lana's lyrics weren't relatable because she sings about fancy cars and diamonds while Lorde and her friends "couldn't afford to pay for a taxi."

All this hate for Lana's lyrics already and we've barely heard the album. I can't wait for the rants here in a few weeks...

So, regardless of what ends up on the album, I'm going to keep the "Rob Orton Mix" as the album version. I'd much rather listen to that than the other one.
 
I'm buying the other one too just to support the single and keeping it as "West Coast (Dan Auerbach Mix)" on the single.
