  1. Jim taught me that Loving him was never enough We can go back to New York Cause loving you was really hard I don't hear Marilyn, it sounds really out of place. But I agree it's probs Comprende mis sueñas
  2. Um, the song seems to sing about two people.. she refers to Jim in third person and in the past, but then she's speaking to someone in first in the present/future.
  3. I think it's tied me up to taught me that... such a shame And Crying tears of gold, like Adam and Eve
  4. Do you think it's 'jim taught me that loving him was never enough' or 'jim tied me up. Loving him was never enough?'
  5. This song is like a major cluster of lyrics from like 10+ songs of hers. It's even got some Tropico in it.
  6. I can hear sirens, sirens I can hear violins, violins (that's what I hear anyways)
  7. yes, I've changed the lyrics - I put them all on: http://rock.rapgenius.com/Lana-del-rey-ultraviolence-lyrics#
  8. I put together the lyrics from all the vids posted here...
  9. Agree it's unfixable and not invincible. It lines up with 'unbreakable' and matches with 'can't fix him'. Also in the guitar solo, I think it's 'your heart is unbreakable' all distorted
  10. This is like the Ultraviolence Velvet Crowbar, I think. I love the song, but yeah I wish her voice was less demo-ey. Without the echo.. more crisp.
  11. YESSSSS Kanye x Lana Del Rey all the way! Maybe then Kanye West will team up with her for a song or two! Yes, all the way in for that. Btw, is that picture fake?
  12. Least excited about Shades of Cool, sounds like a weird title to me tbh. Reminds me of a PG Shades of Grey.
  13. Yeah but what on earth does la la mean? Sometimes when she sings 'love' it sounds like la.
  14. sorry i don't understand the tone of your smileys, but yes
  15. I don't think so either but I'm hoping, I think KK is one of her best songs. That or Hawaiian tropic.
  16. I get... country vibes from it. Like Money Hunny.
  17. The track cover doesn't look bad, I quite like it. It's not as great as BTD or Paradise but at least she looks beautiful and she's getting out of a car. I have a feeling that FMWUTTT will be lyric-jammed like Tired of singing the blues... OR the opposite like Come when you call me america...
  18. "Pretty when I cry" sounds fucking epic, can't wait to hear that one. "Fucked my way up to the top"... cola controversy x100. It sounds like a BIG pill to swallow.
  19. That cute thing she does where she pouts and then tilts her head to the right!
  20. *Sigh* Robocop. It was downloaded by my boyfriend so we watched it together. I had only heard the title and thought it would be something like Sharknado so I didn't have high hopes for it. It was better than I thought it would be, of course. Touches on some man vs science + business, is free will an illusion? themes. Still was kinda dumb but I liked Samuel L Jackson in it, hehe.
  21. Same here. It's 3am already and I've been watching the audio video they have on youtube - which I can't stand because of the mess in the top comments section. Although it's pretty funny to see the full circle - when Lorde came out, people criticised her for copying Lana Del Rey and now it's reversed.
  22. Yes! Same here, I think the video loop of her swaying adds to it, as well as the "swinging/swaying" lyrics, but every time the chorus is just about to come on, I sway and spin slowly like SNL Lana.
  23. I think these feelings are misdirected. Maybe people think it's about domestic violence initially, but it's not, it's completely different. There's consent in this case, she just likes getting 'rough handled' so do lots of people. It's like (is) BDSM. As per your advice parkin, I've asked myself why and I realised it's just something that me and my partner is into. Maybe we do find 'vanilla' things boring, so what.
  24. ^ Honestly can't tell if sarcastic or not? EDIT: Late, was a reply to Parkin
