I think it’s so funny that Play Date’s lyric video racked up 45 mil views in less than a year which is more than the amount of views every video for K-12 got with a year and a half Like how can she not see the material is performing way worse cause it’s not as good ???? the numbers don’t lie EDIT: I also think she should be focusing a lot of her marketing on TikTok cause it’s literally where trends are born these days

I’ve been listening to Night Mime a lot lately and I thought of this concept that could’ve been a possible follow up to CB in which Cry Baby goes to sleep and into the dream world and she’s having nightmares in which she finds an “evil” copy of her, Melatonin, tormenting her, and all the songs are dark/have to do with sleep, which could be a metaphor for her going into a depression (like all the songs on CB were metaphor for darker things happening) The visuals instead of being mainly pink are dark blue/purple and the nightmare world is like an upside version of her real world, like in Coraline if that makes sense? I haven’t thought of a tracklist but it could be something like: 1. Zzz 2. Drowning 3. Half Hearted 4. Haunted 5. Jumprope 6. Night Mime 7. Ring Pop 8. Schizo 9. You Love I 10. Band Aid 11. Strawberry Fields Forever It ends with SFF which is more dreamlike and is supposed to be her nightmare finishing and her waking up

most artists make music because they love to let's not act like she's special for doing that please and i don't think its irrelevant to mention her unreleased, especially cause it's not poorly produced? just because it has a different production doesn't mean it's poor. LMLYLAW is literally just 3 chords over and over, would you call that poorly produced? plus Ultraviolence, which has no piano and a completely different production value than the last albums, is something that Lana fought for and actively went against her label so to say that Lana was forced into a bigger production is false

yeah that’s what I meant, she definitely can pull off piano songs (again I LOVE Cherry Blossom and Fine China) but lately it’s been way too manh like if COCC was a folk song on guitar in Sirens style it would be miles better imo

she’s always been a huge Britney fan, I remember reading that during TFJ she wanted to be the Britney of alt pop

I don't know if it's just me, but lately I've been kinda let down by Lana's production? More specifically, how some songs are just piano chords and her Now don't get me wrong I love the piano (hell I play it lol) but I feel like Lana's lyrics and voice shine best either with a more orchestral production (Honeymoon, Born To Die) or with a jazzy, psychedelic one (Ultraviolence) Now I do believe in some songs the piano is really effective at conveying a certain atmosphere (with hope is a dangerous thing or Cherry Blossom), but I can't help thinking that a rich sound like in Salvatore, Venice Bitch, West Coast, BB, SoC, Blue Velvet, etc... would really turn the songs around Thoughts?

yeah i agree she should've added melody variations to give every stanza its personality and not have it all repeat these last 3 singles have been very repetitive (not in a bad way, but they are)

I honestly just wish that they released some sort of posthumous album/collection to honor her career cause it’s weird that most of her discography is unreleased/only played live They usually do these when great artists die (they did it with Amy, Michael, etc) but IDK who’s in charge for that
