I know that However, equating “aging” which is a process that everything, including all songs, eventually go through, as an objectively and inherently bad thing is a complete lie People on here act like the only way for a song to be good is if it sounds fresh or whatever, when it’s not true Radioactive is extremely produced and EDM and we all know that but a lot of people still love it. So while yes, it technically “aged” it wasn’t poorly and it isn’t bad PLUS saying something aged is way too overused especially by people who don’t know a thing about music. I’m a musician and I’m studying music in college and people on here have no clue how to constructively or productively talk about music. Saying “X aged poorly” means nothing and it’s a shallow, unproductive way to talk about music
-
All the “not aged” songs are songs with live instruments and the “aged” songs are songs with a heavy EDM production which will obviously sound “older” cause live instruments do not change whereas trends in electro pop do Also songs don’t need to sound “fresh” to sound good??? Mozart doesn’t sound like he’s from the 21st century but his pieces are bangers, rock n roll doesn’t sound “fresh” but still bangs Like y’all decided that songs need to sound new to be good but that’s a lie and y’all know it
-
Can you please define “age” in terms of a song... like explain what it means
-
STOP SAYING “it aged poorly” ???? If you don’t like a song say you don’t like it. Songs don’t age this is something y’all invented because y’all have no critical thinking skills
-
Like I don’t get the need to bash albums just bc they have a very specific genre that’s out of style... most genres are out of styles it doesn’t mean they’re bad
-
I cannot stress enough how “aged like milk” literally has no meaning especially considering how good Radioactive is Does it sound straight out of a 2012 EDM/electro pop album? Yes Because it is. EH is an EDM/electro pop album from 2012 Like there’s nothing wrong with having a specific genre y’all are crazy sometimes

My fav of all time is Let’s Make Love It’s such a simple song but IDK it’s amazing

What I hate about Lana being called an industry plant is not the concept itself but the idea that “industry plants” are somehow a bad thing... Like all artists who were unknown to the GP before being famous are industry plants, cause labels seek out new talents and then heavily invest in them hoping for a return Britney Spears is the definition of an industry plant, Gaga, Justin Bieber etc... all “industry plants” But they don’t get called industry plant cause nobody is out to get them Plus Lana is one of the most successful artists in the world so even if her start was “fake” and “planted” she’s long overcome it

Ehy yall this is random but I just heard this bop and it reminded me a lot of FROOT's whole synth/guitar vibe and a lot of summer so I though I'd post i t

Born to Die: 10th Year Anniversary Re-Edition?
Charlottexseax replied to americangothic's topic in Lana Thoughts
The only way she'll do this is if somebody in the label decides to bank on her demos, cause Lana hates revisiting her projects I would love this as a concept but she basically avoided every possible re-release of AKA, including the 10th anniversary in 2020, so IDK if she'll come around for BTD -
Half Hearted works really well as an intimate piano ballad I don't know about a studio version :/ Although it would've been nice to see it released cause it's a really great ballad and she doesn't have many on her released discog

wait at 00:09 is that on the right the guy from 13 reasons? please tell me im not going crazy
-
Y'all really come on here and say ANYTHING It's a good song but nowhere near her best... not even top 5 Pop 2 alone has much better features: Unlock It, Femmebot, I Got It, Porsche, Tears and Backseat...

He abused 2 different people he doesn’t get to say sorry he should rot in hell
-
Let’s hope they make better songs
-
I don’t care about the music but he’s so hot and all time low is kinda cute
-
I never said that we should criticize her because she’s rich I just said that just because some people on LanaBoards criticize her doesn’t mean that her fanbase as a WHOLE does People love Marina and that’s why she’s been able to get to point where she is, which is: rich If people hated her she wouldn’t be anywhere near where she is now Like if y’all don’t have any reading skills it’s not my fault
-
Some of y’all need to step out of y’all’s bubbles Marina receives OVERWHELMING amounts of love everything she does, just because 15 people on a thread criticize her doesn’t mean we are the majority She is a MILLIONAIRE LMAOOO she could never be a millionaire if people didn’t love and support her Yall are really out here cuddling millionaires as if they deserve praise for whatever they do.. I hope you get a check
-
this is such fucking bullshit lol
-
RIGHT????? Every time i see somebody on her complain that artists are not constantly releasing music it’s so crazy like not only the huge entitlement but also that’s not how music should work
-
wait I thought picosong just randomly decided to close?
-
yes somebody posted the link a few pages ago
-
Maybe TFJ was a bit tacky but EH and FROOT aren’t plus the Marina we know now is very far from being tacky she’s gone full LA white woman
-
But you kinda have to? Like it’s not up to you to decide when you get music... IDK this seems very entitled
-
First of all Marina has said some eco-fascist shit which is not ok?? Like calling humans a “virus” when the ones exploiting the planet are just western nations is kinda problematic... children in Africa and Asia are dying they’re not a virus but w/ Second, Savages *is* fake deep cause it shows a very basic understanding of human behaviour but at the same time tries to make an attempt at a social critique and it falls very flat This however DOESN’T make it a bad song You CAN criticize something you like... Especially cause back in FROOT there was so little to criticize that people did not jump at the slightest glimpse of criticism
