i have the gut feeling her management overstated Lorde's influence and thought they could just get away with this messy album rollout cause she's famous and her comeback was very hyped but i don't think they understand that just bc a tweet about lorde goes viral every 2 months it doesn't mean she can get away with no promo/no rollout

IMO N1A/P2 TR HIFN Sucker Charli Charli has some good songs but it’s her worst album as a whole, half of the songs are bland and don’t go together

Amateur doesn't mean bad tho, L+F has a very sleek production but it's still trash and flopped. Plus, regardless of your personal feelings, TFJ is the only album that stands the test of time and still circulates. Out of her Spotify 5 most streamed songs, 3 are from TFJ and 1 (Venus Fly Trap) sounds like a TFJ song.

im glad this era flopped this is payback for marina firing her manager after she'd just given birth.. when you do clownery the clown always comes back to bite anyway i've seen at least 3 different The Family Jewels tracks used as sounds on TikTok in the last month and people in this thread still refuse to accept that TFJ is her best work and the one that holds better in the long run... absolute madness luv

It could’ve really turned the song around tbh we know they’re not above ripping of Lana cause stoned at the nail salon rips off Lana many times so there was nothing stopping them like idk a long, 4 minute long psychedelic outro would’ve been perfect to set the scene and the vibe for the rest of the record.. whatever

PinkPantheress is a 2001 singer songwriter from the UK and she rose to prominence on TikTok. I found her song "Just For Me" through a TikTok audio and honestly it's one of the best songs of the year. She hasn't released it yet but I hope she does. Her music has a lot of 2000s Y2K vibes IDK how to explain it.

We weren’t talking about SALES but about albums not being long lasting, and Billie after her EP, which I admit was one of the best EP of the decade, has been all about the money and 0 about making long lasting albums… her singles are incredibly bland and boring and she’s just looking for a check, same way she did with all her merch over priced merch Taylor is an outlier cause, unlike most successful artists, she actually cares about her fans and gives them what they want, and more importantly keeps her promises Also, even 10+ years in her career, she still works hard on her albums, and carefully thinks about EVERY detail Compare her to Katy Perry, who was even more famous than her at one point. After PRISM, Katy literally dropped the ball and now she’s selling shoes What is Taylor doing? Re releasing her albums with 10 additional outtakes Like, this is huge. She’s consistently giving her fans what they want, and this is how she’s able to keep a strong fanbase going for almost 15 years at this point

Yes that is true, cause most artists now don’t care to make music that lasts in the long run But it’s not like that excuses her, especially when her whole (fake) shtick is “omg look at how quirky and alternative I am“

I have a feeling Solar Power will be a flop at least commercially SP and SATNS are both underwhelming and have been criticized by her own fans too, let alone the fact that the GP probably doesn’t even know they exist i dont know if mood ring will change people’s minds but going by what we have I doubt it will overall this is shaping up to be unsuccessful at least commercially I hope the next songs are better

seeing it put together K-12 feels underwhelming compared to CB, so I get why they went for the movie the movie really is a beautiful piece of media, even though it has many many flaws
