unpopular opinion: I LOVE her cringworthy lines

-i love the "blueblueblueblue" in Freak, "stranger than a stranger"? -hilarious!! I always thought she´s being cheek n´ tongue with these kind of lyrics, slowly realized she´s propably dead serious -even better, that trolls even harder!
-"my pussy tastes like pepsi cola": i never saw it as only a provocative line. the song has this enthusiasm in it and I think she wanted to paint the American dream as something sweet (lol), she´s beeing coquettish with her sexuality and SHE`S DELICIOUS    edit: I also always wondered wheather it might be a comment on her commercial succes with BTD
-"shining like gun metal, cold and unsure": honestly don´t get how this is a bad line? makes me think of a girl who´s partying and seems confident, but is actually shy and unsure, reminds me of "lying to herself 'cause her liquor's top shelf", and talking about coldness:
-"hawaiin glam metal", "surf noir": always loved these terms. they describe the atmosphere so well. the coldness in lanas music is the thing i always related the most to. this dirty, unsetteling atmosphere she creates in LDRAKALG with these tropical, maritime sounds and these cold neon light trashy lyrics always gives me THE CHILLS. (still can´t believe some critics actually criticized that UV sounds suffocative  . I don´t know this was probably already said, but I heard that people with anxiety often feel like they suffocate and we know lana has problems with anxiety, so i think its definitely on purpose)
-"elvis is the best hell yes", "hell yeah that guy can sing": for me, these lines just sound so organic, like they seem to be from some easy flirt/chat. they´re cute
-"throw me in the sky, like pizza pie": pure poetry
-"d.a.r.k. do it my way kiss me in the p.a.r.k. park":

Her cringy lines add so much charm to her music and Lana wouldn´t be Lana without them i love her

Lana is now content, because, first, she just released her finest mature album to date

and, the contentment is, her lifetime award as "Trailblazer" given to her by Billboard magazine, which
for the first time, showed that what she is doing has reached massive mass stage proportions and is
being seen by all now as relevant and important, meaning that as the years go on, Lana can keep on keeping on
with what she is doing and doing it HER way and not having to do it any other way.

and that is why she is now smiling, content in her place in the world. She is a true trailblazer.

Ok so here's how it went for me - I'm still shaken asf I have no idea what even happened and I think I caught a planet sized cold - I ran my literal ass off to the tube (I'm so fucking glad I haven't been slacking on cardio cause holy shit I probably outran Usain Bolt), went there and there was nobody in the area so I got scared, then I saw tons of people waiting including paps and basically after that I waited like 2h, I saw Stella Mac Cartney, a LOT of ULTRA HOT people, Lucky Blue Smith who is like, 3m tall?, Charli XCX who left like a thief, some other famous people I don't know the name of, and most importantly I fucking saw Lana, when she got out it was ABSOLUTE CHAOS, literal ultraviolence, I ALMOST didn't met her but an old lady w white hair grabbed the fuck out of me and slammed me on the barricade and Lana saw my sweater and did an adorable dork face for 0.3s and then took pics with me and I look gross but whatever I'm so motherfucking happy. Didn't got UV vinyl signed but to this point I don't even give a fuck I mean??????????????? Seriously this morning I almost didn't got out of bed because I was depressed out of my balls and tonight I got pics with her? This is the best year ever for me and I'm literally leaking gratitude. Also she looked taller than the other time and so beautiful and Johnny and Ben were here and I SWEAR TO GOD when they got into the car I was the one Johnny was waving at laughing, I think it's because of my sweater, and Lana was waving too so bye I'm going to die, still considering going to the Brits tomorrow but I'm emotionally drained and most probably sick I'm so fucking happy

My gross pics I'm sorry I look so bad kljflkjdfk

This would have been my reaction 6 months ago. I flipped after the release of HM because I expected her to do something "great", to become the biggest star in the universe just to prove the bullies wrong. I didn't listen to LDR for about two months when accidentally I started to listen again in my car because I forgot to take her cd out. And I liked her voice, is mesmerizing. That was the reason why I followed her in the first place. I started to listen again to HM and I discovered a beautiful record, mellow but with subtle beauty in almost every track.

So who is Lana? The BTD, Blue Jeans vamp or the melancholic/silly girl from her homemade videos? I think that at the beginning of the LDR era she wanted to become a huge pop star but "upon an unfortunate series of events she saw those dreams dashed and divided like a million stars in the night sky" as she say it in the Ride monologue. And slowly she reverted back to her safe place doing strange videos and non-commercial music that we loved from the pre-fame era. But now we are criticizing her to the ground for being herself.

Is this video a great artistic statement? No, but it's beautiful, has a connection with the song, singing about being a freak it's less literal than singing about Jim (Jones), and, despite some of you said, has a story that it's not obvious and it's up for interpretation. Technically it's a mess but without diminishing the beauty of it. If you don't like the Debussy part don't watch it.

I watched 10 times with ease, it's calming and the Debussy part mesh well with Freak which is a good song.

She doesn't want to be a pop-star anymore are you ready to accept it? I do and I enjoyed the video

I will be the only person in the world to say "Finally, another Tropico" and mean it unironically

i like it. i liked 'boys' too, granted its just a montage glamour video, but it works. i think the videos this era have been perfectly fine. not up there with btd videos or whatever but they certainly haven't been anywhere near awful.
