Finding it hard to be excited for this, i hope there’s a few surprises covers on this that we wouldn’t expect. I know she’s the perfect person to do American classic covers but it also feels so predictable that it’s kinda boring. I dunno, maybe i’ll love it.

Other than the licking pic, the album shoot is so good. Love all the gloves and mirrors.

Joanne is fucking boring. No one cared about it. No one will remember it. Perfect Illusion was good though.

She changed the cover of Aquarius on iTunes for some odd reason and honestly it’s so crap.

There’s a couple bad songs but after a lot of listens, i really like the album.

Where is her solo work? I swear i can see her being one of those artists that releases every 8 years or some bullshit.

Album is definitely a slow burn, but goooorl she been getting some good diq because some of these lyrics WHEW. I like.....Safety Net, 34/35, Off The Table, Positions, West Side, Nasty, Motive, POV. It’s definitely an album i need to be in the mood for but it will grow on me over time, her stuff usually does for me. Thank You Next was lyrically very depressing, she was obviously heartbroken making that, but Positions feels like she’s really let go of all that and is just vibing/chilling after being fucked really hard.

All her albums take time to grow on me. They usually only have 5 songs on them i like first listen.

The live instruments make it sound a bit.....messy? And why are there no zoom outs? Anyway, she looked and sounded good. She pretty much has the best pop album this year so she deserves the exposure.
