It is when you hear the album in full, but its still cute.

I like the album more than i thought i would, thankfully. Some really great stuff, she certainly puts forward her own sound on the album, that’s important for a debut. It very much feels like Rina, but more polished and ready for a bigger audience. It’s absolutely criminal that Paradisin is only 2:30 long, that chorus is everything, sounds like something out of an anime, that first 30 seconds is a waste of more music ugh. Actually most of these songs are way too short. Dynasty, Bad Friend,Akasada Sad, Snakeskin Fuck This World (why is this listed as an interlude?), all good. Who’s Going To Save You Now is the Britney/Nsync 2001 bop i needed. STFU fits, but i still think it just feels to....loud for the album, it’s just way too heavy in comparison to everything else, it sticks out a bit too much. Tokyo Love Hotel is the Cherry of the album i guess. Chosen Family is corny, but i admit catchy. The issue is it sounds like a Shania Twain song from 20 years so. No one wants that. There’s a 14th track on the leak i heard, but the itunes album only has 13 tracks. Not sure what that’s all about.

It’s aged badly and i rarely listen to it but it has some good songs on it. Out of the singles LoveGame and Paparazzi are all i care about.

The world will still be a mess though. This isn’t going to go away in 1 month, it’s a long haul issue. But whatever, she’ll no doubt release soon.

We’ll still be amidst a pandemic during then so i dont get what the difference is between this month and next, but ok....

Gurl everyone thinks it’s ugly, her fans just have no taste. The standard cover is one of the worst design choices ever, it’s so badly done. She can do camp well, but that cover was just terrible. For an artist that goes so hard with her visuals I’ll never understand how anyone thought that cover was a good idea. The deluxe works fine.

Sounds terrible. Also sounds like it’s sampling Bowie’s “Fashion”....

Love the cover. I just hope the other tracks aren’t all SL sounding, its an ok song, but it’s dated and doesn’t really match the aesthetic imo. Is there anywhere i can hear the Babylon audio? mod note: user was warned for this post

There’s still cohesion with the songs though, i don’t think the album will be some mess of sounds.

I don’t mind Chosen Family, but it’s very generic production wise. I don’t have much of an interest in her doing these sorts of radio friendly ballads tbh. XS has grown on me alot. This album desperately needs an Alterlife moment. 4 songs so far and we’ve yet to get it, not good....

It’s the perfect time to release music, so many people are pushing music and it’s doing well and people are stuck inside needing new shit to occupy their minds. Shame it’s delayed.

It’s a shame she doesn’t tho so highly of her first album, it’s got some really good stuff on it, aside from 1-2 songs i really love it.

Can’t believe we got a one in 100 year pandemic event before we got Lana’s finished spoken word album lol
