  1. Yeah I don't get the point either. West Coast doesn't suit the Paradise era at all...
  2. We didn't know there would be any Bowie or Fiona Apple covers when I made that comment ^^^This
  3. She looks so different! So fresh and she also seems excited, I'm happy for her
  4. In love with the chorus LIVIING LA DOLCE VITAAAA
  5. They covered Lana as well
  6. Postmodern Jukebox is a rotating group of musicians producing covers of pop songs in the styles of jazz, ragtime, and swing. The group broke out onto the public radar with their doo-wop cover of Miley's "We Can't Stop". Several artists have publicly noted their appreciation for the group's work. The band contains the following members: Scott Bradlee - piano, arrangements Robyn Adele Anderson - vocals Adam Kubota - bass Allan Menard - drums Christina Gatti - vocals Ashley Stroud - vocals An many, many others... They're freaking amazing. I love jazz and old music in general so the spin they give to modern songs is both fresh and fantastic. They basically turn shit into gold lol What do you guys think? Check them out
  7. OMG Those Joan Crawford teas SO EXCITED!
  8. Wow that was crappy! But like a whole new level of crappiness in the style of the UV video
  9. Never heard of him until a few weeks ago, I listened to Budapest and WOAH I'm in love with this guy hahaha I might but his album too
  10. Also the Moroder song and possibly the Brian Wilson collab So many things to come!
  11. George Ezra - Leaving It Up To You
  12. Who on Earth thought it would be a good idea to use that old distorted tv filter? This is like one of the prettiest shoots we've got this era and it's ruined
  13. I respect you have a strong opinion and I agree with a lot of things you post, but not on this one. You are so wrong when you say it's one of the worst songs on the record I can't even... Anyway, the mood she created with the song is hauntingly beautiful, the lyrics are nowhere near cliché (I think they're genius, please point out the ones that you think are cliché) and that final chorus is to die for. It's true that some of the perfomances of it are... well, not that pleasing, but the latest ones are magnificent, you can tell she really likes the song and she enjoys singing it... Also it's one of my favourites, so I really disagree with you.
  14. I really like Ultraviolence (song) but I strongly dislike the vocal layering, especially during the chorus. It just sounds messy and amateurish, I mean the different layers of vocals don't even match each other... I don't know if this was done on purpose but I find it quite annoying and have trouble keeping up with it
  15. Ppl keep mentioning Video Games and Gods And Monsters and I'm like it's the fifties, no video games or Jim Morrison then... My bets are on Y&B and Million Dollar Man
  16. He used to call me D.N. that stood for Dashing Nose job

    uvuv

I heard West Coast on the radio yesterday for the first time Also heard Ride in a TV ad a couple of weeks ago, but that's about it...
  18. She obviously wanted to achieve a different mood for UV. While BTD is almost perfect, overproduced and 'crisp' like you mentioned, UV is grungy, heavy and it's fantastic. You shouldn't even compare her BTD vocals to these cause her delivery is meant to represent her current state of mind: dark and moody. Things aren't even clear to her, why would her voice be clear to us? She even said they used cheap microphones to record some of the songs... So chill out, her vocals aren't as bad as you're making them seem.
  19. You're either a dramatic individual or a kid trying to look badass in a Lana-esque way
  20. I can definitely hear some minimal vocals in the instrumental, but why would those belong to the demo? I really doubt they'd record the new version over an existing song...
