  1. I swear if this actually comes in March I will buy every variant available (although let's be real, it'll be digital only for a year )
  2. Reads both optimistic and sad. Letting go of dreams you had for yourself to trust your life's journey and wherever fate leads you? Idk. Maybe I'm just projecting.
  3. She was definitely shading the fuck out of those covers. But I feel like she’s teasing Rock Candy Sweet with the emojis…
  4. Fiona 3 years (Jul. 1996 - Nov. 1999) 5 years (Nov. 1999 - Oct. 2005) 6 years (Oct. 2005 - Jun. 2012) 7 years (Jun. 2012 - Apr. 2020) Sky? 8 years + (Oct. 2013 - Present) Fiona's never had a bigger gap than this between albums.
  5. - A Star for Nick - Pawn Shop Blues - Summertime Sadness - Ride - West Coast - Salvatore - Summer Bummer - Venice Bitch - White Dress - Dealer
  6. Hahahaha, loves it. Hopefully we can get our queen back to 80 on MC!
  7. Listening to Living Legend and I'm still dead that she thinks she was doing a sax... Let me just enjoy this vocalized guitar solo and move on.
  8. Aging myself a little, but I agree. It felt fresh in the '90s with Lil' Kim, Foxy Brown, etc. but nowadays it all comes off super stale and redundant for some reason. The only girl who actually pulls it off effortlessly for me is Rihanna.
  9. you had me in the first half, lol
  10. I actually really loved it, too, especially what they wrote about Text Book.
  11. Still claiming the title track today (it's hit even harder for me with the full album for some reason??), but Violets For Roses is also doing things to me lately.
  12. He posted the cover on his IG story the day it was released and wrote "Beautiful", so I don't think there's any beef/drama.
  13. Yeah, we don't know why, but when she had her IG, he still followed her and liked pretty much all of her posts. He still follows Charlie and Chuck, too.
  14. I'd argue this is like... in her top 5 emotional moments of her discography. It's painfully bittersweet.
  15. These are the colors I see when I listen to them: Text Book (brown) Blue Banisters (blue) Arcadia (cream) The Trio - Interlude (desert sunset) Black Bathing Suit (deep rust) If You Lie Down With Me (maroon) Beautiful (light gray) Violets For Roses (evergreen) Dealer (smoky dark gray) Thunder (rich red) Wildflower Wildfire (orange) Nectar of the Gods (tan) Living Legend (sandy) Cherry Blossom (icy blue) Sweet Carolina (gold)
  16. The merch is absolutely gorgeous. It's too bad we're all getting it late! Mine won't be here until mid-November. Frustrating!
  17. Can't stand Phoebe Bridgers. She reminds me of every alt girl who went to art school, wrote shitty bland indie music, was desperate for attention but would never openly admit it, and thought they were so funny/witty/cool.
  18. Listening to the album straight through again, and she NAILED the tracklist this time. It really takes you on a journey, reading your comments is helping me make sense of it. Text Book is such a mysterious opener that morphs its complexity into something beautiful and emotional (even if still extremely layered). Blue Banister sends you down the rabbit hole, an almost stream-of-consciousness flood of emotion. Arcadia is almost a taunt, in my opinion, or a quiet defense. It's playful, sweet, and cleverly masking its underlying anger. The Trio makes you think "What the fuck?", but it totally makes sense when you consider the chaotic energy of Lana flipping the bird at us in the video as Arcadia ends. It's a warning to the listener of what's to come... Which comes in the form of Black Bathing Suit and onward. The midsection is just pure catharsis - she wants to be loved even if it's all a lie, her pain is beautiful, everything you love she hates, she knows you won't give her one shirt off your back, but it's cool, because she also knows the real you -- what you're really like when the party ends. ... And on I could go. But ya know. It's a ride. (I loved the posts analyzing the run from tracks 11-15. Wildflower Wildfire about who she aims to be as a lover to avoid being like her mother, Nectar of the Gods being a battle of the self, Living Legend, Cherry Blossom, and Sweet Carolina covering various forms of motherhood - adopted, self-soothing/parenting, her sister/post-partum depression... ) It's layers to this shit...
  19. Blue Banisters hinted at what I'm wanting... I love the raw, poetic, messy vibe... but I want her to go all out on the next album. Unhinged, wild, loose, aggressive, psychedelic, chaotic energy.
  20. You can't tell me the second verse of Arcadia isn't intentional. It's my favorite part of the song.
  21. I want the next album to be completely unhinged. Give me an album full of wild vocals the normies can't take!
