  1. all circuits are busy, goodbye all circuits are busy, you're high all circuits are busy, goodbye all circuits are busy, you're high
  2. the way she says eight there is major ginger rogers energy. she did that specifically for me. obviously.
  3. my husband and i actually discuss this a lot. i feel like her home is always too messy for her to really have a maid even though it seems logical for her to have one. maybe she makes chuck or charlie clean the litter boxes lmao. i just hope she doesn't leave the dog poop all over her yard but i guess the blue banisters video woulda been ruined if she did. but since it sounds like she tends to her chickens herself, i bet she tends to all her pets herself.
  4. wildflower wildfire: "i wouldn't know how cruel the world was" nectar of the gods: "what cruel world is this?" cherry blossom: "it's a cruel cruel world but we don't care"
  5. your interest really made stacks out of it for me your interest really made stacks out of it for me your interest really made stacks out of it for me so thanks for that
  6. this! like whatever happened to saying "meh not my cup of tea"? now it's like "if i don't like this that means there's something objectively wrong with it and no one else is allowed to like it either" like no there's no such thing as a right or wrong opinion in art and if we don't like things, we shouldn't even waste our time and mental energy on them.
  7. he said i was bad let me show you how bad girls do 'cause no one does it better!
  8. i've always loved thunder but i really think the new version has blown the unreleased one out of the water. the slow build up makes the song itself really roll in like thunder and it's brilliant. and i'm no music expert so i'm not sure what makes all those cool sounds throughout but it makes the song really beatlesy and i love it.
  9. cherry blossom and sweet carolina back to back absolutely destroy me every time. such a sentimental moment.
  10. i know lots of people find the interlude kinda out of place but it psyches me up so much! especially after the closing sentiments of arcadia, it really makes me feel badass and free. i love it. i think it works so well even if it's kinda random sonically.
  11. 'cause we were built for the long haul freight train burnt by fire without trial like a
  12. it's shirley temple! the last one is from the 1939 film susannah of the mounties (i seriously do love how there's a gif of shirley temple smoking a pipe though lmao)
  13. i used to dream about people like you now i don't know why i used to sing about people like you now i just get high
  14. i swear fans think they can will deluxe editions into existence. no matter how many times lana says there will be no bonus tracks or that she doesn't like releasing deluxe editions, fans will still try to convince each other that it'll happen then get mad at lana when it doesn't.
  15. i love how in all the pre-release threads we would joke around like "which song do you think the patty diss track is?" and now we're here like how to pick just one?
  16. i can still never sing along through that line, i always get so choked up
  17. the title track really makes me cry more than any other song on the album ***but arcadia, beautiful, living legend, cherry blossom, & sweet carolina are big tear-jerkers too (but i have in fact cried to every song on this album at least once, even the interlude lol)
  18. i don't just love how 'if you lie down with me' has that retro jazzy instrumental outro but i love how the whole song sounds like it could be right from a 30s movie like the lyrics, the melody, the music, how she sings it, everything. like i can almost imagine alice faye or ginger rogers performing it in a movie then the instrumental at the end would like the tap dancing part at the end of the number.
  19. it changes all the time like almost daily and i always tend to put whatever the newest release is near the top so i know i can't be completely trusted (trust no one) but also i'm kinda starting to feel like the more albums she releases the more it hurts to rank them almost like trying to rank your own children like you love them all equally and don't think any of them are ugly, y'know? anyway i tried but it'll probably change within minutes of posting bc i really do see them all as their own pretty little flowers 1. violet bent backwards over the grass 2. blue banisters 3. lana del ray aka lizzy grant 4. honeymoon 5. chemtrails over the country club 6. ultraviolence 7. norman fucking rockwell! 8. lust for life 9. paradise 10. born to die
  20. i wonder if this project will have multiple producers on it bc the one poem we've heard was produced by jack but she's not working with him anymore so i do wonder. i feel like the dark surfy vibe of patent leather do-over would be compatible with zach dawes' production if he produced any poems on the album. also imagine how cool it would be if for this one she recorded more of the poems and made it a whole 2 disc vinyl affair... i can dream
  21. this is an interesting take because personally i felt like wildflower wildfire worked so well between thunder & nectar of the gods. especially right before nectar of the gods, i do think lyrically they're so perfect beside each other and sometimes i almost even forget how old nectar of the gods is because it just belongs beside wildflower wildfire but then again we all do have a different listening experience. it's just interesting how completely opposite we can all see the same things. i love it.
  22. nice thanks for letting me know! that's very reassuring for me
