  1. I’ve actually been thinking it could be her too because the “you can’t be a muse, be happy too” advice sounds so much like something she’d tell someone (also made me think of her lyric “you thought I was your muse/but all along it was you” from Dogwood). Then when Lana says “happy” in the long twang in the next line, it reminds me so much of Jenny Lewis’ song “Happy”. But I told myself I’m probably connecting nothing as usual
  2. Jenny jumped into the pool
  3. I feel like Lana released the three singles individually specifically so Blue Banisters would be the only one on display, showing up as a new release. While all three songs are very personal and intimate, that one has the least “juicy” lyrics. Not really sure how to word it, but it’s the least likely to be misunderstood. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lana wanted the other two songs to get less attention from the general public because they have grittier lyrics and she’s used to being burned. I feel like that’s why she didn’t promote the songs at all either.
  4. Honestly at this point I’d almost be disappointed if the album cover isn’t that selfie because she sure is using it a lot. I like it anyway. An edited selfie is a perfect visual representation of an album that gets so candid about her life. And tbh, the more I look at it, I kinda think it’d look great on a vinyl sleeve, even that partial border since lots of old records have those on them.
  5. Blue Banisters, Wildflower Wildfire, & Text Book knowing they’re gonna blow us away in a couple hours
  6. Really excited about the 3 new songs today. And that snippet was crazy euphoric, like I felt flowers blooming, y’know? And I’m also actually really excited about the singles all having that selfie edited differently as their covers, like showing different sides of her. I kinda predicted that when we thought there were 2 albums lol. Also really excited about the possibility of her bringing up her issues with her mother in one of these songs because same Also so excited just in general about these coming out in time for the QFTC anniversary. Makes it feel like she already had this planned last year. It’s perfect.
  7. I’m really excited for Blue Banisters. I bet it’s gonna be another beautifully unique and deeply feminine album as usual. I always feel giddy waiting for a new Lana album (which is luckily nonstop)
  8. Okay we get it, y’all hate Jack and will probably hate Mike for no reason too eventually
  9. “leftover Joni Mitchell attempts” teas
  10. We need to get a Scorpio in on this and complete this creative trio!
  11. I’m currently reading On Her Knees: Memoir of a Prayerful Jezebel by Brenda Marie Davies. It just arrived in the mail yesterday and I’m already zooming through it. I’d highly recommend it to anyone here, especially anyone who’s had a complicated history with religion.
  12. You do realize Lana’s early music was more similar to Joni Mitchell than her more recent music, right? Joni Mitchell made experimental jazz music. Compare Lana’s recent stuff to Joan Baez or Carole King, sure, but Joni Mitchell? Lana’s past few albums have actually been moving further and further away from Joni Mitchell territory. If you’re looking for Lana’s “leftover Joni Mitchell attempts,” AKA and BTD are right there.
  13. If this is still a revenge album, I want this kinda vibe idk
  14. This album sonically gives me such strong Twin Peaks vibes, like moreso than any of her other albums. I can’t wait for the instrumentals to leak someday.
  15. Maybe you can’t dance/cry/smoke/drive to it, but that’s a you problem maybe you’re just boring
  16. Double single showing two opposite sides of her artistry/personality to commemorate QFTC? Yes please!
  17. That’ll be pretty close to the anniversary of QFTC, which would be quite fitting.
  18. Based on when the Interview mag & video came out and her typing up and reciting her poetry in the video, I think it was always supposed to promote Violet not Chemtrails.
  19. I’d assume the pressings could go ahead before an album title or cover is fully decided since the sleeves probably don’t take as long to manufacture as the vinyls themselves. But idk honestly. Just assuming here.
  20. Maybe she recorded some old covers that she relates to very personally and re-recorded a few really personal unreleased songs and wrote a few new songs and arranged them all in an order that truly tells her story. Idk.
  21. If “rock candy sweet” is just a lyric, I’m convinced it’ll be a direct reference to Big Rock Candy Mountain. Maybe about how the paradise she imagined and searched for never really existed. It would make sense, especially within a song directed at the critics and how they treated her.
  22. How is anyone already disappointed? We don’t even know anything concrete about the album yet
