Saying that one song sounds similar to another, or that two albums have similar sound, is not saying they are a carbon copy of the other though?

Probably the most levelheaded take I have read through all the excitement and delulu energy today.

I agree with your take, but I also think that Lana blurred the line between ''world-building'' and ''bombastic'', one equating the other. I think the most obvious take from the interview is that she doesn't feel like making so called ''bombastic'' music à la Born to Die or Ultraviolence and that is her prerogative.

After reading her speech from her phone: ''btw my new album is out at the top of this month bye''

Honestly, that comment she made bothered me. She has it in her to do it, she basically said so. Nothing wrong with the slower/mellower music with mouthful/stream of consciousness lyrics, but knowing she knows how to do that bombastic/world building type of music, but decides not to... she's doing herself a disservice--now she's fully entitled to do what she wants, but it'd be nice if she spiced things up a little. I think she could very well do both and not chose one over the other.
