  1. When she released Honeymoon, but she sure hasn't released anything remotely close to those two albums since. We know.
  2. I'm confused as to why some people want Lana to put this song on album when we already have 1728383 different versions of that very song.
  3. Despite what insiders will say, you best believe that the minute Lana stans hear electric guitar in a new song they'll be like "OMG ULTRAVIOLENCE 2.0!!!1!"... it doesn't work exactly like that unfortunately. That album happened in a very specific place and time, like the energy and vibe was quite unique, I don't think she will or wants to reciprocate that. Unlike the last three albums and new single, which all exude a similar vibe.
  4. Being "Snow On The Beach'd" is the music equivalent of "where you silent or where you silenced?".
  5. 1. Born To Die 2. Honeymoon 3. Ultraviolence 4. NFR 5. Chemtrails 6. Blue Banisters 7. Ocean Blvd. 8. Lust for Life
  6. The last part kinda makes the song imho, it's a stellar third act/ending. It really is IYLDWM's younger sister.
  7. I genuinely believe that she had planned to release the American Standards album, but the prolect is now shelved for some reason—
  8. This song definitely has a cinematic energy that has been severely lacking in a lot of her most recent songs. That's refreshing.
  9. NFR and Chemtrails are very similar production wise, they do have distinctions though.
  10. Production wise, I think that this song is the best of NFR, Chemtrails and Blue Banisters combined. There is a variety and intricacy in the sound that I really enjoy.
  11. I predict a huge downfall in vinyl demand within the next 10 years; artists release too many variants of their new records, it's becoming hard to keep up. I feel like the value will peak at some point and the demand will logically decrease. Forcibly laughing at people that buy 128704 copies of each variants to scam desperate fans a few years down the line.
  12. I don't think Lana is feeling any pressure to ''outdo'' herself, I think she's just making the music she feels like doing/likes best.
  13. Well, the new song is great, but it's nothing we haven't heard yet on the past three records, not groundbreaking at all. Production is nice, lyrics are reminiscent of what we heard on NFR--but it's basically a mashup of Arcadia, Let Me Love You Like A Woman and If You Lie Down With Me, with more strings and added back vocals. What BoZ said is interesting... I think Lana is most definitely never going to serve as hard as she did on her first three records. She's been in her folk-singer-songwriter/vagabond poet era/state of mind since NFR and I don't see that changing ever. Unfortunately, the more I listen to this song, the more I'm like "okay this I have heard before on NFR, Chemtrails and Blue Banisters". I think it kinda ranks middle-of-the-road compared to her other title tracks as well. This is not better than Born To Die, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, NFR or Chemtrails, not sure whether I would rank BB above or below at this point. But it's surely better than LFL. As per usual, cautiously excited to hear the rest of the record. At least the visuals are great and cohesive this era. That's lovely.
  14. Yeah same, I think this song will have to grow on me, but I think that it has several different elements that I like. I like how it reminds me of IYLDWM--but BoZ kinda hyped up the song as something unexpected, never heard before, but it does sound like a fusion of two songs we've already heard, just more strings and backing vocals. Still a beautiful track though.
  15. Does anyone know where I could purchase the Indie variant (with the green vinyl) preferably in Canada/North American website/store. The UK store I dealt with for Chemtrails is too expensive for me.
  16. For once I'm genuinely impressed, all the covers are amazing. She ate on every single one of them.
