  1. @BlackoutZone not sure if this has been asked already, but do you have more information about UFB--who's the producer, why did they scrap it, etc.?
  2. Lana putting her whole artistic thrussy into making LFL is a very inch resting plot twist I gotta say.
  3. When Lana was in the studio trying to record LFL has many times as she could
  4. I just think the whole list is kinda bogus, they doubled down after receiving criticism and explained the reasoning and criteria they used to make the list and it makes even less sense then it did before they gave an explanation. I'm sure they made the list quickly and forgot important/influential acts in the industry, present and past, and instead of acknowledging that, they're juste being random about the whole thing. I think Billie has a nice voice, but I reckon that her whispery thing requires less technique and practice than other singers actually put into their craft.
  5. It's just insane the amount of songs that are intended for a specific record, and what actually ends up being on the album's official tracklist. It really feels like 3:1 ratio.
  6. How can a once highly regarded music institution poop out such bullshit is beyond my comprehension.
  7. We have a lot of deconstruction to do now.
  8. This has been quite the inch resting day, this boiling hot cup of orange pekoe tea we've gotten.
  9. Unrelated to LDR3/Ultraviolence, but was there a reason why Dua Lipa never acknowledged Lana past-2014, despite sharing the same managers? Also, was there ever talk of a collab between the two? 👀 @BlackoutZone
  10. I guess I have to relisten to Ultraviolence in full for the 1627383 time just to put the pieces together and fully immerse myself (again). That's too bad.
  11. Another bit of God Coast trivia while we're at it @BlackoutZone, what does Lana actually say in the West Coast chorus? "He's crazy y Cubano como yo my love" or "como yo la la"?
  12. The lies and fabrications that were told over this
  13. Cannot wait for someone to make a masterpost with the full timeline.
  14. Thank you!! Yeah the song is now listed as "Rob Orton" mix, I always wondered why she didn't keep the original mix, the guitars and vocals sound clearler on that version. Thank you, thank you. 🙏
  15. Does @BlackoutZone knows why Lana released this version of West Coast first, but ended up putting this other mix on the album and also used it for the music video? I've been curious about this since 2014. Thought I'd ask since you're here.
  16. I honestly wish there were a whole ass documentary on how this album came to be.
  17. This thread is a very interesting glimpse into a time gone by, the innocence and dreams. Thank you @BlackoutZone for the insight on this iconique album.
  18. Some of the people on that list are either dead or past their prime (like Céline) surely listing her as one of the best wasn't farfetched was it?
  19. That's fair, Céline has a nasally voice, but I reckon that she doesn't always sound nasally and she can outdo 98% of that stoopid list.
  20. I'm sorry, but Céline Dion being absent from this list is complete and utter BS. I'm not saying this because of my Quebec bias--she is a music purist. She's never stopped taking vocal lessons, and doing the most to keep her voice healthy and strong. Even past her prime, she's always sounded pitch perfect. She's a top 10 vocalist amongst Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin and that's the end of it. She's literally 54 years old and the only thing preventing her from performing still is a rare disorder, she would still be on stage as we speak if it weren't for that.
  21. Céline has always had a "nasally" quality to her voice, it's not a post-2000s thing, it's a thing from the getgo... her vocals are still crystal clear and she can belt even in her 50s. Are you okay?
