I looked it up and LanaBoards is mentioned on the HIFN wikipedia page she formally announced hifn on the 6th and released forever on the 9th, so that would make some sense but she also works super quickly so idk i always felt party 4 u a weird inclusion, I’m glad we have it but it’s from 2017 and not even about Huck, she should have put gravity or if I cried in it’s place (both preferably) and released party 4 u as a separate single maybe for an album of reworked fan favourites

and also ‘now we gotta let this go’ and ‘I know in the future we won’t see each other, cold just like december’ to me it always sounded like a breakup song which was confusing because of claws and how she seem to be with him during that era, but she said in a more recent interview that they were probably going to break up because of a lack of time together then quarantine happened (or something like that)

I guess that spotify concert was a mistag cause she posted nothing about it at all, I thought we were over this
-
since it's a single for anyma's debut album, maybe we'll get some remixes? one of those might be better, maybe we'll get a grimes remix... (unlikely)
-
I just wanna remind people this isn’t really her song, and therefore probably not a reflection of the upcoming album like how Go doesn’t sound like art angels, she said it was a collab from the start so there has never been a ‘just grimes’ version either. personally I wish it was a bit more catchy like shinigami eyes, but it’s obviously just for anyma’s DJ sets and enjoyable enough (for now, maybe it will age)
-
the boredom is really showing I want her to announce literally anything but then I don't want her to announce something then leave us in a weird lurch for months like her first singles usually do. spotify says she has a concert on the 9th and then one in july which maybe that means she's ready to soft launch a new era... but who knows

I think most of it is because it replaced midnights on the album, I like it on the mixtape but there are so much better TR outtakes that could have been there instead. I’m sure it was just added to try and capitalise off a feature which in retrospect I don’t think has aged that well if you compare monthly Spotify listeners Brooke Candy (300k) and Charli (15m). I don’t wanna come across like I’m dragging Brooke or anything I haven’t heard her music and I don’t know anything about her but I just think that’s part of the reason, it’s not really a beyoncé on telephone moment.

we’ve gotten a load of leaked songs since the release of crash though sky ferreira fans are screaming crying throwing up at that comment

I get that, but these weren't just used on the digital remixes they were used as the official artwork on all the single vinyls. she had already bought tickets, so she wasn't asking for freebies, it feels like a courtesy thing.
-
this would be cute but the person that did the remix artwork didn't even get to meet marina despite having concert tickets for a show, her whole team ghosted this poor girl when she asked (which I don't think is an unreasonable request as she met Gabriel) and she wasn't even told when one of the vinyls was dropping. edit: my point being if she does do something like this again I hope she isn't weirdly exploitative about it.

honestly yes I do think this is part of it, anything and everything she does gets hate, even when it's obviously a joke like when she said she had laser eye surgery to remove the blue light spectrum, the media were reporting it like she was 100% serious and got quotes by doctors. people were calling her a dumb bitch and it makes me weep for humanity that people couldn't see the amount of sarcasm in that post. more and more people just deal with extremes as the internet has killed nuance. this will either be the best album she's ever made and everyone will love her again or this will be the worse thing she's ever done and she'll get more hate because people have made up this idea of what the album should be in their heads. this album can never be 'not quite as good as art angels/visions' but still really enjoyable, it either has to be good or bad.

it's kind of funny that crash literally had a car in it's photoshoot and was named after a car crash and yet it's only got one car related track
-
she already deleted it and said she shouldn’t have tweeted because they were already running behind, this is beyond parody
-
tbh I'm more annoyed by her mentioning redoing her old demos (on two separate occasions) than I am about the lack of INHA on streaming services, I'm sure it's an abandoned idea now
-
she was never going to release that version (though idk why she couldn't just make a fake acoustic version with the stems like the L+F 'acoustics') but I fear she just said she'd release it to try and get fans to like her again, which was silly cause people are still asking where it is as the only confirmation she changed her mind was a recording from a private Q&A after a concert.
-
she also made the announcement just as she was dragging a stan on twitter for calling her poor so the timing was not great for the 'marina hates her fan' bandwagon
-
you're probably just joking, but if you're not you've got it the wrong way round. I said before but I think if she kept matd she might have faired l+f better, it was too many nails in the coffin, it started the era off by 'ditching' her fans that just spent years waiting for her album. (other nails include: absolutely lame aesthetic, dumping 3 singles in like 2 months then nothing else, 0 fan interaction; & cancelling a Q&A without telling anyone, hyping up a concept and saying the albums should be listened to in 2 halves then them not sounding sonically that different and not actually being able to listen to them separately cause she removed the 'love' ep, etc etc ) I know that wasn't what she meant by dropping 'and the diamonds' and after reading some interviews I do understand why she did it, but her twitter 'statement' wasn't great especially considering the reading comprehension of twitter is possibly the worse of any social media site as people are so preoccupied with replying in 0.2 seconds to try and get some attention they don't actually read the tweet properly. it's just 'yas queen slay'. people were upset she ditched her band, specifically (?) ben fletcher who did the remixed froot intros and has been with her since tfj (I think?) he's also jess' husband so... I guess we won't be seeing him again
-
apparently it was mostly an instrumental so I wouldn’t get your hopes up
-
I wonder if she'll close it at 36k again seeing as she went down to 35.8k from 36.1k since she last opened it
-
ah yes because she’s never promised to ‘just drop a load of singles before’… (no shade at you)
-
I hate the phrasing 'turning her back on pop' like sucker turned her away from the more indie sound of true romance, vroom vroom was deffo a big turn from sucker, charli was completely different to vroom vroom, crash and hifn are two completely different albums. I would be MORE surprised if her next album sounded like crash than if it didn't...
-
if you don't have a twitter account fckyeahcharli is blocked for being 18+

maybe they bought it after she was signed? machines has an updated 2010 version, maybe they tried to do some of the other songs.
